I grew up with in a poor family . So i had three carts the first year i got my atari and I loved them. I have been in the collectable market for over 20 years making a living at it. I have trouble sepertaing my collection with my business some times. But I have yet to sell any of my atari collection. I like playing pacman more than quad run. LOL I hear where you are coming from. I do analize the market a bit to much. Just a habbit. I quess. I get wrapped up in collecting but I enjoy playing the carts just as much. I am not very good at them as I was not 20 years ago
I assure you though. I love the simple grabbing of a cart and putting in a old Atari system as you do. I just have a lot of respect for the Boxed CIB games a as a collector too. So I salute you as I am playing a game of Quix on the 5200 as we speak. Play on my Atari brother. Play on. -
Ahh you are semi correct on the Star Wars figs. about 20 percent of the figs have gone down and about 40 percent have stayed the same but what about the Boba Fett on StarWars Card going for about $800 then and over $1500 now. Anything that is truly rare will keep going up. About 40 percent have kept going up, even it has been at a slow rate. Star Wars Figs have been more of a collecatable for a bit longer and have a established value. There is no established value on Atari Carts yet. Also when SW figs were establishing there value there was no ebay. I believe that if there was no Ebay now the more common carts. Rarity 5s and below would go for a bit more. The rarity 6s CIB and above will be a while before there prices are established. Also a lot of new people getting into the hobby and old collectors getting what they need, will have a lot to do with it. If you are patient (unlike me) lol there are plenty of good deals out there.
LochJaw, I believe that apollo was threatend with a law suit beause of the Similarity with the Move Jaws and was forced to change the name. Man it was very tough for me to see one up for sell let alone buying this one with the instructions included.
Take care my friend. HH

The rareness of a Up N Down compared to a river raid 2 is absurd. To me that UP N Down Fell. It went cheap. You know its rare if CPUW doesnt have one.
There have been 2 UP N Down CIB on here in a year. There has been over 50 river raid 2s CIB/ Hard to compare . UP N Down CIB is a toughy.

I also bought a few monster toys from him over the past ten years. He has also bought a few items from me. He is a very nice a guy and been in buisness for at least 12 years that I have known him.

Joe is a good guy. If they are repro he doesnt know they are. I belive he did have a giant Atari Collection at one time. I have delt with him for years. I have also bought patches from him. That I know arent repros

Wow XU I have watched your posts since I have been on here. They are always kind. Man someone hit a nerve LOL Thanks for you support though. . I have been collecting many things for 38 years and making a living at Selling Collectable Comics and Toys for 20 years . I have had a shop in Mesa AZ for over 10 years now. I have piad over a Thousand dollars for one item hundreds of times. I am used to it. BTW didnt pay that for the Lochjaw. It was a lot cheaper
I make a upper middle class income. I take care of my Wife and two kids then the bills. Then what ever ls left I put aside for my collections. One of wich is Vintage Video games. Differnt collectors have differnet limits. So just dont exceed those limits and have a lot of fun doing it. That is all that matters. Sorry Room 34 I am not hiring now.
