i was implying that a harmony cart ISNT simple. I understand enough about manufacturing to see that. has anyone seen the inside of a supercharger? wouldnt they be easier? wouldnt there be less parts
-
is it possible to copy hardware like the supercharger. like to reverse engineer it? it has to be simpler than the harmony cart. since you store and load the games on a computer.

no bites. so i ordered one from edintv. seems like a real nice guy. good price to for such a rare item..

Basic Programming cart ... anyone use it?
player 0ne replied to SlowCoder's topic in Atari 2600 Programming
if anyone writes any program for this cart pls post it in here. ide like to see what someone more inventive than me can come up with.. -
wow.. that is odd looking. from the pics it looks like the cart port pads are allready tinned. my rev b wasnt tinned, and the iron made them all make a loud popping sound when i touched them. still, i go the cart port installed. good luck on yours. i wonder.. it probably wont have the pad20 problems rev b had. thanks for UL the pic.

someone needs to reinvent this. why not. they are making NES-onna-chip computers now for $12 for third world countries. straight up computers, using the NES-chip. why not atari. i'll plug a modern compumate into my modded flashback 2, and plug a headphone jack into my mp3 player to load software. it would be awesome. make a passthough for a cart AND passthough for controllers. i'de still spend $100 on it. heck, im waiting at the mailbox for my harmony cart! why not other new hardware? when is the atarivox comming back? anything else? why not a relay controller and a little relay controller cart? heck, the hardware part of that is ALLMOST within my skill range. you could have the atari turn on/off house lights, a relay for watering the garden, oh, and ide love to see book carts. like with txt from a book on um. pointless now, but they would have helped sell atari back in the day.. non-game. youll see lots of my posts about non-game stuff..
-
lazy seller. the seller obviously doesn understand the concept of presentation. looks are important..
-
sooo.. is it possible to buy an atarivox????

oh my gosh what is that thing? seriously, whats if fer? i am very intersted in ANY NON-game atari 2600 stuff.,.

Official Press Release for Flashback 3
player 0ne replied to Dr Manhattan's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
oh good, move the port and add 20 more games. i could have thought of that. as long as it has the solder points for the cart port at least it will be worth salvaging at the flea market in a year or so.. -
nice to meet you III. atari stuff is a good buy as it is getting OLD. lots of people collect. if you can get it for a good price buy up..

New Atari Compatible Console & Controllers
player 0ne replied to Curt Vendel's topic in Classic Console Discussion
im estatic that this would be 2600 compatible. very cool. only way i would buy one. take a regular computer keyboard.. that would blow my mind. i read that someone is taking old nintendo computer code and making home computers for developing countries. kinda like the flashback, but with non-game software and a keyboard. i wish it was done with atari stuff.. -
i doubt he burned them up. both my atari wall warts put out 11 some odd volts with NO LOAD. and there is a voltage regulator in the 2600. it would just get real hot. if he burned up anything it would be that. you could check them with a multimeter. unfortunately my skills dont cross the next bridge.

i think he ment if someone has come up with a NEW supercharger. something i can buy NOW thats NOT and antique or costs $65 on ebay.

if he went through the trubble or reproing the cart he should charge whatever he wants. i mean, if you never heard of atariage you couldnt get that cart anywhere else..

FS: Cuttle Cart 2 w/ console, Apple IIgs, Tandy CC2, C64
player 0ne replied to crsdawg's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
is that cuttle cart good on the 2600?? -
wow. good job desoldering the port from a broken atari. you should desolder the switches or just give away the whole board to a tech (cough cough, wink wink) someone may need the rest of the parts like the ICs. did you read about the pin20 thing. i did the bypass and my FB2 mod worked. btw, i did the FB2 mod, and it worked. im soo proud of myself. what tiny solder joints. did your solder pads make a little pop when the iron touched them? since you are looking at the cart port NOT the cart it may be a hard to percieve. unscrew the connector from the cart guide and put a cart in upside down. the guide makes the cart only go in one way, without it you can ut the cart in upside down. if that works you can put the connector in the guide upside down. dunno, im new here. im still in shock that i was able to get 50 some odd solder points right..

good find on the atari stuff. not worth alot, but im sure you didnt pay alot for it. can you add a cart port to the flashback? i bought a cart port and they are expensive. but im proud of my finished project. then you could use the games with it.. or a harmony cart.
