  1. Did the modem ever make it to market? I know the CD Peripheral did

      Here is some good info on it.   Seems like it was sold in good enough numbers at least.   Maybe not as many as the CD unit from what I'm gathering.   Heard 50,000 CD units were sold, the modem was probably even less than that.

       

      Suffice to say, I've had a few occasions where they were available in the community, or ebay, and I could have bought one.   Price was not terrible, but mildly inconvenient at the time.

      It's an interesting device, Doom would have been alot of fun depending on the latency. It's too bad the Jag never took off as for 1993 it was a powerful system. With the right software and more devs on board the system could have really impressed. Thanks for the link ?

      Two player Doom in person is a fun "Let's get through the level before the level crashes" thing.   With a modem it would have been crazy bad.
