      Its TOUGH!  I played several different versions.  I think I determined the original NES version was the best (aka "easiest"), but still tough ?
      The arcade version...you just start off defeated.  lol.

      Yeah playing the NES port at the moment and it still gets incredibly hard. Stuck on level 3 where the red ships leave burning rubble. Just makes it so hard to repair the forts within the limited time frame.

      I was able to get thru level 4 if I recall correctly.  After that....POW!  It's addictive, but I do wish it wasn't so difficult so quickly!  Good luck!
