  1. Hard to choose between Parker Brothers, Imagic and Coleco but had to go with Parker Brothers because of Reactor alone, can play that game for many hours.
  2. Hi all, been a while due to work and stuff anyway i am wondering if a game manual tab could be added as a feature? There is screenshot and ROM info features but nothing you can read say a text format game manual in the Stella GUI. Personally i think it would be a nice addition as you can have a read of the manual before playing a game. As we all know manuals are essential with 2600 games and any feature like the screenshot one makes that nostalgia feeling a little stronger. Unfortunately for me always on the go, my Atari and other systems don't spend much time out the box so emulation does the job for me. If there is a similar feature or a not to difficult way i could add this it would be much appreciated.
  3. Saw this topic about 2 years ago so i dont know how much more development went into the project, i think it was later abandoned. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/196823-new-multiplayer-atari-2600-emulator/
  4. Ah yes ok looks to be a hardware problem from what i can see if all the games do the same thing. Have you tried testing it on another TV? Just to rule that side of things out. Personally i couldnt tell you what part of the system has packed up, but im thinking it could be caused from a short. Make sure a nephew or someone hasnt spilt a drink or something on the system creating a short on the main board, open it up and look for sticky residue. If you know it's clean and in good condition then it may unfortunately be a hardware problem. There is a few members on here that do repairs and they may respond to the post, also if its just a 4 switch woody or something common it may be cheaper getting one off Ebay then repairing. Good luck.
  5. Post a picture if you can or explain more in detail as to what you mean about "missing pixel"?
  6. Well good to hear its all sorted out, yeah most CRT TV's will require a scan when any new system is connected via RF
  7. Well thats the problem you need to scan the station in order to find the Ataris frequency, buy a universal remote
  8. Cool, there is another interview of David Crane but i dont know how to upload it on here. Well this is the name of it anyway and he even gives credit to the Stella Emulator Pitfall Classic Postmortem With David Crane Panel at GDC 2011 (Atari 2600)
  9. Ah thats cleared it all up for me, it must be a flashback ROM pack i have. I also got the ROM pack you made on Atarimania about a year ago very nice job and impressive . Thanks for clearing it up, much appreciated
  10. So was it ever released or is it some sort of ROM hack? very confused now Maybe a dodgy ROM or something?
  11. Oh well that makes sense, so would be the same for CCE i take it
  12. Very nice game, now i need a joystick with my gamepad its very challenging
  13. Yeah i know but why is there a Activision version, what im saying is two companies bring out the same game. Do they share the code or is it stolen and produced on a Activision cart and so forth
  14. I have been searching for any related topics but cant find any. My question is why is there Atari games that are exactly the same as Activision? I have noticed many others like CCE also have made clones. For example games like Laser Blaster and Atlantis are made by two or more software companies but all have the same name titles and are identical versions.
  15. Speak of swapping out the ball, here's my ColecoVision roller controller ... The size of the ball is 2.25", the same as a billiard ball. Though I have a CIB 2600 trak-ball, I've not measured the diameter. Very nice indeed, the smokey swell looks realy good and i like how its original. If the 2600 uses the same size you could swap it out with a billiard ball of your lucky number. Might give you good luck when using it haha, personal preference of course.
  16. I was reading on a 5200 trackball thread, they say you can swap out the ball for an 8 ball, not sure if 2600 has the same ball but it would look very cool . Anyway nice score from the wild
  17. Reactor - 78,041 Mountain King - 36,575 Yeah has been a while since i played HSC but must say im having alot of fun with Reactor. Mountain King i cant get the hang of it yet but will keep trying. Reactor is very fun
  18. I will support ET along with many other games, the game was sort of like adventure when you understand how to play the game. I used to play it alot and still dont mind a game every now and then. The only time i found out anything bad about it was when the internet came along. Games like code breaker(i owed it ), that sorta stuff i think are the worse games and helped cause the crash. That game was my bigest disapointment when you bring a game home thinking its going to be good but was a number game. As for a favorite i have too many to decide what would be the best, but ones i played as a kid would be on the list besides code breaker.
  19. Thanks alot for your kind words, i also like what you have done with the sprites. Looks like you spent some time on this one i really like it, im the same i like to change little things to make bad games good and good games better. I know everyone has their own way they think of how they would like the game to look, thats why i like hacks and homebrews
  20. Oh nice, hacked with the Defender II ROM nice i dont know why i did not think of that. Thanks for the link
  21. Ok so i thought i would share this quick job of a more Arcade style Defender. No major changes but the landers look more true to the Arcade and are now green color rather then yellow. Some other small things such as the score, baiters, bombers and swams have all had a slight revampArcade Defender.bin
