  1. Some boards (I think only in "Flashback 2+" units) have a defective trace going to pad 20. In that case you'll need to solder the wire on one of the rom chip pins: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/183250-fb2-cart-port-workaround/ Oh thanks. This didn't pertain to the board I have, though. I got the cartridge running fine. Now, I'm just having troubles switching back to the flashback rom. I wired up a switch to go along with that picture, but it just wants to stay in cartridge mode. :/
  2. Thank you! That's exactly what I needed. I was following a tutorial for revision one. I swear to God it took me 45 minutes to find point number 18. What do you mean by the pin 20 thing? I didn't see anything about that...
  3. The problem is I'm trying to install a cartridge slot into an atari flashback. I know the wires that go to the 5v, but I don't know where it would be on the actual cartridge slot. I don't actually have a normal atari. I took this cartridge slot from my broken one.
  4. If I have the cartridge in my hand and I'm looking at the side with the opening for the pcb with the label on top. Is that the right way to be looking at it? I must be wiring this wrong, because every time I wire it up according to that way, it doesn't work and gives me a bunch of garbage on the screen. Your comment didn't really say which way the cartridge was positioned while looking into it.
  5. Hello, I'm doing a little modding and I'm confused about the pins on an atari 2600 cartridge. I'm looking at this. What does that exactly mean? "Looking at the bottom of the cartridge -- i.e. edge connectors first" What's an edge connector? Could someone explain to me which way I would be looking to correspnd with the pin out on there. Even better, if someone has a picture, could they post it here? This might be a really obvious answer, but I've searched and haven't found much. I'm not too in to atari. I'm adding cartridge support to an atari flashback 2, if you were curious.
