  1. OK, my question is for optimal setup on my Commodore desk. I have a working 128 and a working 64. The 64 operates a little better (keyboard wise) because a few of the keys on the 128 need to be cleaned, but other than that the 128 runs great. I also have a 1541 drive and two 1571 drives. I'm looking for the optimal set up here. I have about 20 carts and probably 200 or more original game disks, including Ultima V. I know the music won't load on the 64 for that game, but am I just taking up space with the 128 or is it better for 64 games (which is 95% of my inventory, only about 5% are the C128 automatic load versions). My thought is to run the C64 with the two 1571 drives (as 8 and 9 of course) and save some space (and a bit of keyboard hassle). Which is the best set up. Thanks for taking the time.

  2. Awesome. The TI is such a great computer, but since I started with Atari in 1979 I've stuck by the old faithful. I hit a score like this once back in 2004. I used to frequent a local thrift shop run by a hospital. The elderly ladies there were just peaches - they were friendly and fun to talk to. I made a very large purchase one time, over $100, but I got old (like 1930s old) games, old star wars toys, some old video game stuff, an alf doll, etc. I was supplimenting my income with ebay at the time (in grad school) and one of the ladies asked me if I knew anything about computers. I said that I did and she told me to go in the back because they just got a bunch of old computer stuff and since I was making such a large purchase I could have it all for $10. I said ok and went in the back. What I saw was almost exactly like the pics you posted - tons of games/consoles/peripherals in original boxes, like new mint condition, lots of magazines, papers, etc. I sold the lot (pieced out) for just over $1000. I would have kept most everything but we lived in a small two bedroom house at the time and we were expecting our first child. Plus, the money helped us pay off some bills (more important than keeping the stuff IMHO). Anyway, glad you posted the pics! Thanks!

  3. i got the snes, genesis and n64 boxes. yay! (thanx Ax!) Still looking for the red 2600 jr box and a 1200xl box (prefer with original packing materials but not absolutely necessary). Also any 8 bit empty game boxes, 2600/5200/c64 empty game boxes too. thanks!

  4. Pending all 8 bit carts except Basic and Popeye

Also, all items paid for (second round) were shipped today! Sorry I couldn't do it yesterday but we had a snow storm and I live in the mountains so I have to drive into town to go to the post office and it just was not a good idea (unless you want to crash then it would have been fabulous).
