Needs/wants. Semantics really. Now if I could just get the wife on board ...
-
Did you get better?

McBumpster, still looking

Just got my Atari Pac-Man cart. It's just as Pac-Man could have and should have been for the 8 bit. Great casing, too. I'm ecstatic. Great work!

Thanks. I will be posting here for some needs soon (wants as my wife puts it). Jon

Purchased a few boxed controllers. Superb deal, quick shiipng, excellently packaged. I will return for more! Thank you!

That's it. Some of my boxed games have both of those variations. Interesting. I got started with the Intellivision in 1979 when my dad bought one. Star Strike quickly became one of my favorites as well as Space Battle and Astrosmash. I've gone through a few INTV's here and there but I finally began collecting boxed games/hardware fir display and now I'm looking for a decently priced CIB INTV 1 and 2 though I'll have to wait until at least next month as we have some hefty bills due this month. Thanks for the pics and the info

Awesome! Can't wait to check out what you've pulled together. Next time I'm out at my parents' house, I'll see if I can find our old VHS archive. I'm sure we have tons of old recorded stuff, although probably very little in the way of Saturday morning cartoon stuff that you're looking for. Mostly TV broadcasts of movies, etc.. And probably some Cosby Show/Family Ties thrown in in for good measure. That would be awesome - TV broadcasts are great too! Let me know and I can pay for shipping and then send them back to you (media mail please). I've got about 10 more tapes to go through and I should have enough material to upload to youtube. I'll post the link here (or make a new topic) when I do. Thanks again.

If you find the long lost bubble-eeze bubble gum commercial from the 80's I believe there is a bounty on it, at least there used to be I haven't come across that gem yet but I've got some tapes from 1983 - 1985 to peruse through (I think the Grammy's are on them)
-
I'm going to upload to youtube when I have enough good material. I'm still working on it but it's coming together nicely.

OK, so I've been an INTV user since 1979; however, I just started collecting for it. Through a few fellow AA'ers I was able to score some nice CIB games and some Sealed ones. My question is with the white labels of the common games - I knew about them but why do some of them have no inner plate (where you can see the inside of the cart by looking into the non-labeled end). Is this just a common version of the white labels or is it something else? My digital camera is kaput at the moment so I can't post a pic, sorry. Thanks for any info.

good find on the He - man toys... i have a bunch of them still in the box Yeah, I still have Stratos from my childhood. I never got too much into the He-Man toys although I loved the show. Same thing with the Transformers, although I had a few more Transformers than He-Man. Both were great shows. BTW - did you know that the voice of Megatron is also the voice of Curious George? Well, I went to check on the "Atari" today and it turned out to be ... a Colecovision!!! So, for $20 I got the system, both controllers, power supply, the 2600 adapter and a few 2600 games but I also got Cosmic Avenger, Donkey Kong, Frogger II Threedeep and Star Wars Arcade all for the Colecovision. Took it home, plugged it in and in less than a minute I was playing my new Colecovision - no problems. One controller doesn't work perfectly but the other one functions awesome! Work the buttons that are giving you trouble firmly for a while. I assume side buttons? If after a couple hundred firm presses they still don't work you may need to take it apart. They tarnish internally on the contacts from lack of use over time. Thanks for the tip, Ax. I didn't know that. I'll try it this week sometime.

I've got Play Action Football for the Gameboy - I can get $5 for it, right? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA all the way to the bank

I think I paid $30 plus shipping - which included an SIO cable and the power supply, and it is in perfect working order.

Yup, bought one from 19echo. Thanks anyway!

I got lucky this weekend (AND I went to a few yard sales/thrift stores too!). I found some Captain Power Toys unopened for $7, N64 Cruisin USA & SOTE CIB for .95 each, a box of old 80s toys like He-Man and M.A.S.K. for $2 and I'n going to check on some Atari games tomorrow. I also found Temple of Apshai, Ra, and Covert Action for the IBM all CIB.

OK, thanks a bunch Ax.

HAHA, thanks AX!! Items sold, thank you! -
Is it anything like an NES or SNES PS?
-
Ordered some oddball APF carts, a Channel F cart and some Whiz Kids cards - everything was better than described and shipped quickly/carefully. Thanks!
-
I could just rip them myself and send you the video files, but I'm fairly certain I don't have anything from the 80s. Hey, that's cool too! If you do, let me know. Thanks!

Holy overpriced tape machines, Batman! 500 bucks????? I was lucky enough to find three in one store. I think I paid $17 each (which was still too much considering they were at a thrift store) - but originally the manager wanted to charge me $65 each because she said they were "receivers" - i said "OK, I guess they are - they receive a Beta tape, play it, and then send it back". She was not amused. But I got them for $17 each anyway because the guy working the register said that the manager was a crack head who yelled at everyone and he hated her and besides she was stupid. (True story!) I'll be in town this weekend and I'll look. Hope you are able to get through today!
