  1. OK, I lowered the price to $50 shipped. Is that still too much? That works out to less than $1 per issue shipped. If it's still too much someone let me know, or maybe there just isn't any value in these as a lot. Thanks, I'm open to offers and/or suggestions! GO ATARI AGE!!! (ready ... break!)
  2. I played my FB1 once. Played every game. It was horrible. My understanding is that it's actually an emulator and not a 'real' 7800. FB2 is superb. It's an 'actual' 2600, right? You can modify it to accept real carts, right? FB1 is an NES-on-a-chip. It's not emulation. More like simulation. The games on it are basically Atari 2600/7800 games ported (horribly) to the NES. You could theoretically dump the ROMS, burn them to an NES board, and play them on your NES, but I don't know why anybody in their right mind would bother to go through the trouble. FB2 is a 2600-on-a-chip and can be modded to play many (though not all) 2600 games. It's a close realization of the architecture though not 100% perfect. I bought two when they came out but never had the heart to hack into them. I later found one at a garage sale (also $5, worth it!), modded it, and posted a visual cheat sheet in the Flashback forums. This would be why i played my FB1 once and then used it for a paper weight (good thing I got it free!) Thanks for the link to the FB2 post. Great work.
  3. Bump, open to offers. Maybe $65 shipped is too much. Anyone want it for $50 shipped?
  4. Oh, OK. Never saw pawn stars (sounds too much like porn stars - maybe a mix of the two would be pawrn stars or powrn stars) Anyway, thanks for the info

  6. It was, a busted one at that. He was like "See that, this an NES-001... these are original, they're worth $10,000, this is why we do this"... took it to the game store and the guy told him it was worth like $10. Classic. I missed that one, dang. That show was interesting but also aggravating because of those arrogant SOB's. Glad they got their puffed up head popped by reality. However, you know that some schmuck turned off the show after the "$10,000" comment and immediately listed his sorry ass broken NES on CL for $7500 at a "real bargain!" "LQQK! ORIGINAL NES-001 - these were made before Atari and are extremely rare! Valued at $10,000, I'm giving you a bargain at $7500" - and it's still in their house today.
  7. Ever thought of just walking in to the store each day and saying "Still here, huh?"
  8. (gets on soap box) See??? This is notice to all of you 'thrift' store owners and flea market sellers and Craigslist Crackheads - we are reasonable and logical, you are not. We will not buy your stuff at your ridiculous ass clown prices. WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AND WE ARE ON TO YOU! YOU ARE HEREBY ON NOTICE!! (gets off soapbox) Wow, what a maroon. I had a local guy here try to sell me a broken 4 switcher with a couple of ultra commons for $75 (he still has the CL ad up). He said he didn't remember how it hooked up and when I told him he paused and said," ... no, that's not it - maybe someone else will know". Morons - the whole lot of them.
  9. $40??? Instructions for flea market sellers: 1. Smoke crack 2. Take FB1 to flea market 3. smoke more crack 4. ask $40 for FB1 5. when it doesn't sell, blame someone else and smoke more crack 6. If it DOES sell, shout hooray! and smoke more crack FB1 sucks ass. Don't pay more than $10 for it for your expanding Atari collection.

Not if the button turned me into William Shatner dressed up as Hitler. There'd be a lot of questions about that.

  11. Getting two 5200 boxes from the Retroist - thank you! Anyone else?
  12. Watching some Bernie Mac show on Netflix. That was one funny show. Sure do miss Bernie Mac, it's sad why he died. He really shouldn't have.

Bernie Mac's comedy works because he was an every day guy, not a snobbish SOB. His comedy was based on real life situations.

  13. The Ultima games were some of the best written games for all platforms. I'd be interested in an Ultima 3 or 4 (or both for the right price! ) if you got an extra one or two to spare. I think I have Ultima II for the Atari (it's all there except for the box!) and Ultima IV for the Atari, as well as Ultima V for the Commodore. I wish the music was available in C64 mode
  14. I came into possession of a bunch of WIZARD magazines. They cover the years 1995 through 2006. I will list the issue numbers: 42, 49, 57, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 66, 79, 80, 82, 85, 86, 87, 92, 96, 99, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 108, 109, 110, 113, 116, 117, 118, 120, 127, 130, 132, 133, 135, 137, 138, 139, 140, 141, 143, 144, 151, 156, 157, 158, 161, 162, 164, 165, 166, 168, 169, 170, 171, Wizard Zero 9/03, Wizard 2000 12/99. There are a few dupes in the pile and a Toy Fare mag from 1998 for a total of 65 magazines. All of them are opened and do not include the cards that originally came with the magazine. Some of them are in good shape and some of them are in less than good shape but they are all readable. Looking for $65 shipped (the lot is heavy) OBO. I'm open to offers and trades. Looking for CIB 2600, 5200 and 8 bit games. Also looking for a CIB 5200, 65XE and INTV. PM me for trade or sale offers! Thank you!
  15. Thanks to RedRaider for the 1983 Johnny Carson and 1988 MTV videos Betamax tape! Still llokin for some more - anyone have tapes of 70s or 80s saturday morning cartoons with the ads?
  16. Still looking for some boxes - also, anyone got an Atari 800 box?
  17. What was Adams like? I would love to meet him.
  18. I Guess this cat bought this game for like $61 and is trying to turn it around for over $1000. I don't know if it's anyone here but here's the link: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 261007836154 Anyway, this was listed in the 'ebay Atari' thread and I thought I'd list it here since the auction is back on again.
  19. Spent a good portion of today playing slot cars with my two boys. What a treat. We had a great time!
