  1. Yeah, seem to be a lot of those lately - maybe we can call them 'Post 'n' Zip' or something like that. Also, the 'make me an offer' on items that have readily available final sale prices is gettin kinda tiresome.
  2. Look at the game's subtitle on the box: "A sucker is born every minute". I guess the seller was testing that theory. Wow, seriously?
  3. @Keatah - how true about the colors, angles and shapes. Great observation. I mean, just look at your software boxes. I absolutely love Atari 2600 box artwork. Geniusly creative and colorful. Remember Kmart of the 70s and 80s? Orange and brown inside, Red and Blue outside. Very vivid and stark. I'm so sick of pastels.

    Found!

I love to see a gamer and his item come together!
  5. Ultima III was a revolution for computer RPG games. It was (and is) still one of my all time fav's next to Ultima IV of course! I have a disk notcher that still works great, and YES - everything was being copied and put on the B side of a floppy. I have a few A8 disks that still have the BBS logos and phone numbers as well as the "cracked by" or "broken by" signatures. Magical times agreed!
  6. Purchased Pitfall II for the 5200 from me. Superb transaction. Thanks a ton!!!

Quick payment, great communication. Thank you!!
  8. Is that a true going price for one of those? Whew! Very nice vintage Apple piece. My friend Benny (the "Apple" guy) had one of those back in the 80s.
  9. Good luck, and enjoy the car when you get it!
  10. why is everything good always NOT on the West Coast! Arrrggghhhhhhhhh!
  11. Sloopy purchased some NES games and an NES controller from me. Polite, responded quickly, paid quickly, all around good stuff. Thanks, and hang on!
  12. Nice. JUST WHAT IN THE WORLD IS YOUR AVATAR LOOKING AT??? ABOUT LAUGHED MY ASS OFF!
  13. Ah, sorry. Well, good luck to you. I'll keep you in mind the next time I'm at the thrift stores/yard sales.
  14. Yeah, that guy (Xucaen) hasn't been online at AA since March 27 right after he posted the details on the lot . I posted a 'little' comment about that since no one here was 'lucky' enough to get those items for the $80 it was going to cost to ship them because they could not be split up. Sorry pal, hope something turns up. I think Cobradvs had a C64C and a 1541C for sale (boxed) - you can try him to see if it's still available but again, that's another thread that hasn't been updated for over two weeks so I'm not sure. He's a heck of a nice guy though so give it a shot! He responds very quickly to PM's and I give him a for customer service.
  15. No response? Not surprised. I'm sure that the gentlemen "giving away" these items is a nice guy (he sure seems like it), but he hasn't been back on AA since March 27. If you are going to offer something, you should not be offline for almost three weeks. He also started a new thread for the same item with more detail. I don't agree with the insurance and the separate boxes. This is like the first time he posted the topic and was gone for about two weeks and then gone for a few weeks more before coming back (I think he was moving so it's a bit understandable). Anyway, he kind of screwed himself by not shipping everything on one box and by not splitting them up which he told me he would not do. Anyway, if he comes back - good luck to you sir but I don't think it's gonna happen. Also, if these are not still available (like they've been thrown away instead of shipping them in one box - or 'given' away to someone else) then he should let us know. Also, he didn't respond to my last PM where I said that I'd go ahead and take them if no one else did. Oh well - C'est la vie!
  16. Superb!! Love the boxed SMS and Genesis model 1!!! AND the DKjr table top too!
  17. Watched the Rock-a-fire documentary. Very well done. I wonder how much those pieces cost that first collector? Maybe he should lay off the Mountain Dew. Anyway, thanks - great film. The animatronic creator and his wife - they seemed to be on drugs at one point in the interview.
  18. Oh, yes, that was me around 1982. Had a Timex Sinclair 1000, because everything else was still really expensive then. Crap doesn't even begin to describe the thing... membrane keyboard, 2K of RAM, black and white only "graphics". A 16K expansion pack was available, but if you jostled the machine even slightly when it was attached, it would crash. And to top it all off, I couldn't even save programs to tape on mine... it simply never worked on my paticular machine. So I'd write programs down on notebook paper and re-enter them as needed. Was so glad when I could afford an Atari 600XL another year later. i found one at a thrift store a few years back ... for about $3. It worked ... sort of. Interesting little computer but you can't do much with it. Glad you were able to *upgrade* !!!
  19. Superb printer. Most older Epson printers are great, but the MX-80 is a workhorse. I printed many reports on that baby. Keep on truckin'!
  20. Nice! Yeah, I bought the original (altered beast) launch system day 1....then sold EVERYTHING to fund a SNES system when it came out, but then bought another Genesis when they relaunched with Sonic the Hedgehog. Hmmmm...not much has changed these days, I really should just keep all my stuff, lol Yup - if the wife OK's it, IT STAYS! I've had to let some things go here and there for bills but you can always get it back. But if you don't have to let it go in the first place, that's much better.
