Sorry for this being sideways...I'll rescan it in the office as well and post all pages.

It is Fall 1983 Volume 7, has Space SHuttle, Frostbite, and Decathalon on the cover, articles inside include:

    *Letters

    *?'s and answers

*The Gallery - home drawn pics from kids

*New Patches - Space Shuttle, Decathalon, and Crackpots

*Scoreboard - High scores from across the land

*An order form for the Activision Club

    *News

*Designers Corner - Interview with Larry Miller (Enduro - Spider Fighter)

    *Rumors

    *An Enduro Quiz

*Sponsor ad for Activision sponsors Datsun Racing.

That's it - cover to cover.

I tried to pull the image into paint and rotate it, but it would not let me save it as a .jpg and the size was almost 1M...didn't want to post it like that...sorry again for the Horizontal view...you can save pic as and rotate it on your desktop if you want.

  3. As far as prices, I have been trying to buy some games lately, and the prices are all over the board...you'll see all kinds of different prices at different places. One place will want $5 for a game you can get at another for $1 or you'll see something go for $4 on ebay and then $10 somewhere else...it's crazy...while the rarity guide is a good indicator as to ho hard it is to find, it is not a good indicator of what you can expect to pay for a game, unless it's above 7 on the guide...at that point they start getting into some bucks. I've seen some 5's and 6's go for a couple of bucks...then some 2's go for more...the problem is that the more popular games that you find on ebay might go for more because to the avg person they want to play the game...they want pac man - they get pac man...might pay a few bucks more to get it...the rarity guide means nothing to them...so it skews the prices. Although there might be 10x as many pac mans as some other cart with a higher rating, it just depends on what the person with the money wants.

  4. Judging from the other post, most of these guys like to open games rather than keep them sealed, even a few said leaving them sealed would damage the game box! As far as selling them, you can't go wrong selling them Mint in box though for top dollar.

On the USA vs. Europe, I think it depends mostly on the buyer and the game itself...it's a PAL vs. NTSC argument...video scan rates are different in the two (that might not be the best tech geek way to put it)....but, overall, the best way to sell it is just put up a list of what you have a couple at a time here in the marketplace and see what the guys want to offer...if you can scan or up some digital pics, would probably help you get more also.

    Just my opinion...

  5. Ok, I have about a 5 car garage that I can get 1 or maybe 2 of my cars in...the rest of it is boxes out the ying-yang....

I did some digging early this morning found a few cool things:

*several Atari Age Mags - ah, the memories...and the fact that they were pushing Crazy Climber, Waterworld, Cube and the rest like crazy on every other page and somehow my fragile 12 year old mind could not figure out I needed to order these games is beyond belief?

    *(4) stray Atari 5200 games

    *Several Atari Cash bucks

*An envelope with a lot of my original game booklets! (yay!)

    *My Indiana Jones newsletter/tip sheet?

    *An MNetwork sticker?

*One strange mini-gemini joystick that is pretty small (white/brown in color)?

    *Atari Force #4 comic

    *An Activision newsletter

*My sweet a$$ space age material Atari Jacket! (Silver)

*A letter on Atari letterhead that came with my sweet a$$ space age material Atari Jacket .

*A few other misc order forms/posters/ and stickers of Atari stuff.

All together, not a bad find for a few hours of digging....lmao.

Any of this stuff of interest? If so I can put up a scan if anyone wants to see it.

Still no Wizard of Wor "Warrior" pin....

  6. While on a mining excursion in my garage in search of 2600 stuff, I did find 4 Atari 5200 games, all carts only in pretty good shape...the label on Q*bert is starting to peel. Ms. Pac Man has one of the inserts in the storage on the bottom also.

    (1) Pole Position

    (2) Q*Bert

    (3) Frogger

    (4) Ms. Pac Man

If you want any of these, I will trade for 2600 games or Sega Genesis games...I also need a video cable for a first gen Genesis (the one with volume knob...large cable than the later models)

Click on my link and check my list of what I have in my sig line and let me know what you have to trade.

    Thanks,

  7. Just a follow up...I picked up a 20" flat screen Emerson (Stereo) at Wal-Mart for $148 and it's awesome...hooked up my buddy's X-Box to it and tried it out, then hooked up the 2600...works great, sounds great, and looks great. Could not be happier and now my NES gets the hand-me-down 19"...lol.

If you guys need a good cheap flat screen, this is the one!

I also know this guy in Alabama who has those old 60's tv's that are egg shaped in the bright colors...very groovy. Be good for a project of some sort...lol.

  8. I have a 19inch set up for my 2600...have several smaller 13" tv's for other game systems I have....trying to get a TV set up for each system and a little home for each downstairs. Just curious who the size freaks were...I know some of you have to be playing on a big screen...lmao.

  9. Anyway, with the Xbox you can play your games straight from the hard drive can't you. Kind of negates the whole "backup" excuse dosen't it

What do you mean? I think if I own 50 or 60 games and want to put them on a hard drive, I should be able to do it...you don't? You need a mod chip to do it.

I don't have one myself, but if I can pick up a cheap used Xbox, I am thinking of putting MAME on there...20G hard drive should be fine and it would be pretty cool to have a MAME console system...most people into the old games are running the same set up on their PC already.

  10. First off, I know there is a search function on this board and it works well...lol. Some stuff I like to re-visit becuase you never know what you will find.

So, anyway...disclaimer in place...I have been reading about the prototypes and I see CPU Wiz talking about the new one he has, and it made me curious.

Who were the people who ended up with most of the proto's? Were they ever returned to Atari when sent to magazines and places like that for review or did they get to keep them? What about most of the in-house stuff that never made it to production or out of house?

Finally, where do these things turn up at besides trade shows? Anyone ever luck up on one in a strange place?

  11. wow- I have never heard of that site before this showed up on CNN...funny thing that got me is that it says they busted him for selling Mod Chips, not any kind of downloads or what have you of movies/games...so that's why I posted the link to the story...and the fact we were just talking about this yesterday.

  12. I've missed out on so much crap it's not even funny...but I did get pac man...lol.

I was in the Atari Club for years...never even thought to order a thing.

I do have a Wizard of Wor "warrior" pin somewhere in my crap in the garage and a complete sub to the Atari club mags along with it...man if I could just find half the stuff I know I have (or did have)...stuff been boxed up for 15 years now. I really need to get organized!

  13. Ok - I'll do an UP! and I put the games in Alpha order in the above post so it would be easier to search...if you have any that I don't have listed, I'll buy them if working and a decent price.

    I have C2it and Paypal....or will send check/money order.

Emial me at [email protected] or PM me here with what you want to sell...I don't have anything really left ot trade...have about 4 5200 games...not sure of the titles...will check when I get home.

    Thanks!
