  1. Since byteknight no longer responds there is no way to get the ufbi board and without his permission the maker of it wont sell them so there is a lot more work involved in modifying the system so more work involved.
  2. Are there more atari games in this upcoming update? I only care about new atari stuff personably.
  3. Yes you can do them all in a single emulator.cfg file. Also i have ivoice enabled for everything so i never have to worry about that because it doesn’t affect non ivoice games at all. So i have a normal game configuration and ecs game configuration. I haven’t updated or gotten jlp games so i know nothing about that however
  4. You probably are underpowering it. Use a better power supply.
  5. Im not even naming them .gme. Im naming them .zip.zim .zia etc in the games folder and they work great in the games folder but no matter what file extension i use in the arcade folder i dont get the same compatibility in a bunch of games.
  6. Yes your commodore stick is the same as an atari 2600 joystick. It will work just fine.
  7. Ok so two things. Hook up a different type of controller and boot it into a different controller mode. Then put it back into intv fb controller mode. Do it on both ports. See if that fixes it. If not i would open the upci and start inspecting for a cracked solder joint. Also make sure you arent somehow modifying the config file for jzintv.
  8. Also just because it works on your intellivision doesn mean it will work on the upci. In this i mean that the controller ports on the system and upci could be making contact in different locations. I recommend trying contact cleaner on the pins on both the controller and the upci. If that doesnt fix it, try using a 9 pin genesis extension cable and see if it makes better contact with that.
  9. Its weird, a lot of mame roms work great in games folder and dont work in the arcade folder at all or they are really laggy in the arcade folder. And ive renamed them every possible file extension the arcade folder recognizes and no fixing it. I have found other rom version/region that fixed most of them in arcade folder but no real luck with some of the cps3 roms.
  10. I stated the u.s. release date previously. It was listed as either december 15th or 19th. I forget which.
  11. So without swapping resistors or modifying your paddles, they wont work on an afb 9. On the x if they dont work, its a problem with your paddles and they probably need a proper cleaning. For the paddles to work like an actual atari on the x it needs to be modified with some new resistors as a state above.
  12. So there is going to be 4 resistors around 500k ohms that need to be changed to 100k ohm resistor to correct the problem. Afb 9 never got compatible paddles. I changed the 5k ohm resistors to 100k ohm resistors to make them properly compatible. Im 1700 miles away from home but i ordered 200 100k ohm resistors to send people resistors to fix their 9/x/50th and not the really tiny resistors that are impossible to solder to either. So mid December i will send you resistors for your systems if you want them.
  13. The problem isnt hardware. A software change determines what version is what. So you could brick it with the wrong update.
  14. here is a crude but efficient schematic for the afb1 joystick mod. if you are in the us i would be interested in one of these boards when you get around to it
  15. so i was correct in my work on all file extensions but zip. that is because its config file saved in the mame 2003 extreme cfg folder. now i have a weird issue. using .zin fb neo file ( i have an fb neo romset that has been fully compatible with neo fb) so running street fighter 3 3rd strike, it plays no issues in the game folder. playing from arcade folder with all-games.ini, it wont boot. using different roms from the same roms set it boots but it locks up almost immediately. but all play from game folder just fine. do you know why that would happen? also i cant get redearth to work cause it needs chd files but i dont know where and how the chd files need to be placed on system. as for the afb1 controller i will make a schematic for you.
  16. They do not. The antenna is there and solder pads but no circuitry. And it’s just different enough, that you wouldn’t be able to swap the parts out from an afb 9 gold.
