  1. It may actually be less time consuming to use PCBs rather than perf boards. This may only have a significant impact if you produce like 20 units a month.
  2. I have "Mein Weg". Oh my that sounds "Mein Kampf". Conditions is okay, but not perfect. No box or manual.
  3. I once could take a sneak peek into a Hawk missle on display. At a military show. I saw not a single IC in there, only resistors and stuff. Maybe they hid or removed everything "critical" before putting the missle on display.
  4. Sadly, the HxC emulator is too expensive for me.
  5. Duuuuuuuuude that's the ultra-rare 10 leave version of white port dove! Nice find! The reduced the number of leaves to 10 to cut on production costs. The 2 missing leaves are done in software now.
  6. Hmmm daaang.... @nofrills100: peace?
  7. Usually I stay calm and don't get pissed off that easily. But, as I already mentioned (way too often I guess), I'm somewhat stressed out at the moment. When this happens, sometimes I can get really bitchy. I therefore think I simply overreacted here. Are you guys under the same impression?
  8. Ax, do you ship overseas? How much will 2 chips shipped to Germany cost? Are there instructions how to install those chips?
  9. Honestly I'm really annoyed by your behaviour, nofrills100. I have a rather high workload at the moment and it takes a while to take usable photos. Yesterday I stayed up way longer than I should to take those photos, even though you came really close to calling me a liar before ( ). You wanted to see the insides of the consoles as well: Then suddenly, you didn't anymore: So just tell me, what should I do with you? What do you think, nofrills100?
  10. Are your trolling me?! Look at this one here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=244055
  11. Last not least the PCBs. Take note of the RF shields, colo(u)r adjust potentiometers, and cart connectors. EDIT: WTF?! I just tested the Irish small rainbow Jr (mind you, it had just arrived today) and guess what? The picture is all black and white and I get no sound. Is this an NTSC device!? EDIT to the EDIT: Duh. The TV set wasn't adjusted correctly.
  12. Now the Taiwanese Jr. Notice the spelling "COLOR" w/o the letter U! A closeup of the black Jr serial: The Irish small rainbow's serial: And finally the Taiwanese's: Now I opened the cases - and broke the Taiwanese Jr because of a crack in it's case. Take a look at those screws! See the top ones from the black Jr.? All the same kind. The ones in the middle are from the Irish small rainbow. The one with the broken warranty seal. Notice something...? Someone already messed with this one! The screws at the bottom are from the Taiwanese Jr.
  13. First, an overview. On top is the black Jr, then comes the Irish small rainbow Jr and at the bottom is the Taiwan made small rainbow Jr. Now the backsides of the Jr's. The Black Jr and Taiwan Jr don't have warranty seals while the Irish small rainbow's is broken: A closeup of the black Jr. Notice spelling "COLOUR". The Irish small rainbow. Again notice spelling "COLOUR".
  14. It's almost 11 pm here. I'm dead tired and have to get up early tomorrow. I have to do some other stuff right now. When that's finished, I'll see if I post pics. BTW, I had a small rainbow Jr. in the mail today, made in Ireland, with "COLOUR" instead of "COLOR"! I think I'll take comparison pics of the black Jr, small rainbow and irish small rainbow.
  15. My mind brainfarts out "Fourier transformation of square waves" here.
  16. I think there was one or at least it was planned. It's name was IEC2SD or SD2IEC or something like that.
  17. Checkers, Chess,.... Please, just DON'T play the game "Global Thermonuclear War"! (Sorry, couldn't resist ). On topic: I think I may have seen similar odd file listings when spelunking around on a DOS 2.0 or 2.5 disk using a sector editor. Back then I was like 13 or something and I remember that it had something to do with writing a new DOS to a blank disk. IIRC it was the directory listing of the source DOS disk if you took a directory listing right before creating the new disk using a second disk drive. Or something like that. I really can't remember anymore.
  18. Wait, wasn't TIA responsible for polling the triggers?
  19. Parallel Interface Adaptor. An integrated circuit.
  20. There is a two-digit display. I think it's for adressing or selecting the floppy disk images (or files?) stored in 100 different folders on the device's internal memory. If I weren't broke all the time, I'd give it a try.
  21. Is this yay or nay? eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260843103471
