I recently acquired my first Wico controller from a thrift shop. I do believe it was called the "command control". Anyway, I was pretty excited to try it out because many people seem to talk a lot about them. I must say, they are pretty sturdy, and are made in the U.S., which may be a plus for many. I would like to hear other AAers opinions regarding Wico joysticks; why they like them, etc. So please, share your thoughts.

I just love typos in ebay auctions. Can you find this one?

At least he didn't send a package containing feces. I heard on these forums that it happened once

Here is the email correspondence I am having with another of retro_city 's customers:

Hi,
I see you left negative feedback for a seller named "retro_city" . I also have been having a hard time with this seller, i sent him $35 us dollars for an auction and after I sent him an email about it not being shipped, he stopped responding to my messages. Did this guy rip you off as well? I am going to leave him negative feedback in a few days if he does not respond.
and
I also sent a complaint with Paypal, but since I paid more than 30 days ago they won't do anything. They however took note of the complaint. Did you try calling him? I have his phone number but I have not called him yet, waiting for him to respond via email. Since I know he responded to the negative feedback, I am sure he received my messages.

Yes it was my fault agreeing to pay for such shipping, I should have known. However what really got me was HIM calling ME a scam artist. Also, the number provided in his paypal account is a fake.
-
Just wanted to give everyone the heads up on this ebay con artist. Not only did greatly overcharge on shipping, but also failed to ship anything at all! He also does not respond to emails! He also had the nerve to call me a Paypal scam artist! Here is my feedback: http://cgi2.ebay.ca/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?V...ck&userid=zs969
And here is his: http://cgi2.ebay.ca/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?V...erid=retro_city
If you like your money, stay far away from him!

Blaster Master is one good game
. I've River City Ransom loose at home (a friend brought it over to my house, forgot it there, and went back to Nova Scotia without it
) That was 13 years ago! Also have a couple of loose Final Fantasy games. (Didn't realize they were so desired). -
Thats a pretty high reserve. I don't think its worth it.

Nearly a month after winning an auction from "RETRO_CITY", I am forced to leave my first negative feedback. I sent about six emails asking about the status of my shipment, none of which have been answered. Here's the kicker. We live in the same area code! There is no way shipping would take this long. All I can say is that this experience has been a royal pain. Hopefully the buyer complaint that I filed will result in me getting my money back. Avoid this seller!

I bought a SMB 3 cart for $0.75 the other day in the Goodwill in Ottawa. Interesting....

Yep, that's the one! The best stick I tried so far.

After reading that SMS controllers were compatible with 2600 systems, I decided to see how they work. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised! After trying a few of my fav. games with the SMS "control stick" controllers, I found I was able to reach new high scores. I guess the stiff old atari stock controllers were holding me back. Anyhow, I was wondering which are my fellow atarians' favourite stick when it comes to classic gaming? I heard the wico boss is pretty popular. I must admit, I don't think I'll be going back to atari stock controllers anytime soon.

Right on! I remember my first garage sale find. It felt pretty damn good. Picked up a 2600 Jr. (short rainbow) and Space attack(?). Come to think of it, that was my only garage sale find.

Heh, maybe you could sell it back to him then?I very nearly did

Here is a cheap Chuck Norris Artillery duel double ender. Ends in 3 hours (Not mine!) http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...egory=3528&rd=1

I just brought home from the local game store Donkey Kong Jr.. Being so proud that I got a title that not even the manager had(he didn't even want to sell it to me as he did not have that title in his massive collection, but was honourbound to do so, thus making the haul even sweeter
). Anyhow I was stoked to play this, as I already had the CV version and wanted to compare different versions. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the 2600 gameplay. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Although I kick ass at CV DKJr, I can't even get a single point on 2600DKJr!
I'd like to know what other people think of this game and perhaps share tips on how to get anywhere in this most tricky version. -
That freaky Al Jolsen type clown beast scares the s*** out of me!

-
[snotty kid replies] Oh yeah do you have all the label variations too?

-
I say of my 2600 collection, which only consists of about 60 unique titles, I regularly play about 6 of them. I occasionally try out 12 or so, and the remaining 48 are only there for collectors value. So the percentages would be 10, 20, and 70. Like ataripitbull, the family greatly restricts any time I have to play (15mins./day if I'm lucky).
