I think I have a set of those....

-
Being a Canadian and all, I'd like to collect the complete Zeller's collection (I am waiting for 3 to arrive by mail) and maybe the Spectravision collection too.

You may do a lot of searching for little gains. As was said in other threads, the thrift stores are basically plundered. You might have some luck in garage sales, however, I've been to over 150 so far this year and have only found a 2600 Jr. and a Space Attack cart. Don't want to bring you down too much, but old videogames are getting real hard to find these days, even in the usual places

Yes, YEs, YES!
ADAM site much needed!!!!!!

I've got a vader that works really well and a jr. that is crappy. THe sound on the Jr. doesnae work.

I thought it would be appropriate to have a "most spent" on an ebay thread. I am not particularly able to spend vast sums on cartridges but I am always interested in hearing stories from the most hard-core of collectors. So please Tell your tales:

The Midwest has now been cleared of Atari gear....

-
My goal is to collect any and every Atari and Coleco-related thing I can find. This includes label variations. Even though Space Invaders is about as common as it gets I look forward to finding a red label version so I can have the complete set. My collectino is growing slowly at this point, mainly because of the cost, and the fact that most of my money goes to raising a family. Ebay seems like the only reliable way to find things these days.

No, but I'd like to get my hand on a few!

I have a friend who might be giving me his Atari collection for free. I offered to give him money for it, but he said it was basically junk to him. He just has to make sure no one (ie sisters) wants a claim on it. He's got some cool games that I don't have yet, such as crackpots, jungle hunt, and some fours that I would like. I also saw a SNES 2 recently. Think its worth buying?

All I could say is Rampage...

Thank you very much

I have about 5 CV controllers that partially function. I took one of them apart, and theorize that some of the directions do not work due to metal fatigue in the little leaf springs in each direction. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on rehabilitating these old controllers?

Unfortunately I can't read Dutch!

I agree with Rmila75, N2O is definitely the tripiest game I've ever seen. My friends used to play it after eating a handful of mushrooms

You'd be surprised. Collecting prices go in cycles. In the beginning everything is cheap. Then it gets popular and the prices go up. This continues for a while untill prices are so high that the "investors" cash out and then things return to an equilibrium. Although they may never reach the original cheap prices (ie 50cents to a dollar), prices are not likely to remain as high as they are.
.Also I feel that side-deals are unethical.

I must use this forum to state that I find Infiltrate to be a really crappy game. Thank You.

I dunno what kind of thrift stores you go to, but I've never seen anyone bring out boxes of old carts or anything like that. You'd be luchy if you found a Venture cart that looked like it was used for toilet paper!
-
Perhaps one of you could open an Atari museum, then you could charge people to see your collection all the while raising money to buy more curiousities!

-
It is still a bargain at this point at approx. $204.xx!

I was in the zone once on Frostbite and scored somewhere in the range of 172, XXX points. Took a picture of the screen. Felt real good.

Sorry for the late reply happy dude. The case is not part of a suitecase. It is made of black plastic, with a transluscent smoke-coloured top. It resembles tape cases of the time.

Double Dragon kicks ass! That's the problem with videogames these days. People get so caught up in graphics that no one pays attention to gameplay anymore. That's why there are so many shitty games with really good graphics out there. That's also why I will never buy a "new" console. Nothing good has been released since SNES!

Think it is worth getting for collecting purposes?

I saw a Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (for the SNES) selling in a store for 49.99 Cdn (loose cart)
