There's a Vancouver in Washington?
-
Yeah, I have about 25 carts so far, as well as the roller ball, and an ADAM. I've been having pretty good luck on the system lately. Another quick question; does anybody know of compatibility problems when hooking up a CV module to an ADAM computer? Since I don't have a CV console and only the ADAM, I can't tell if it is broken or incompatible

I was just wondering. I collect Atari and CV. My CV collection is more advanded than my Atari collection. Anyway, since the CV library is significantly smaller than say, the 2600, it seems entirely possible to acquire the whole set. My question is, has anybody done it?

I just placed my first bid on ebay. It was really conservative, and may easily be surpassed. I might think that I am doing this on purpose, because I am sort of "afraid" of winning. With all the stories of people getting burned you hear, I am aprehensive about online bidding. THe problem is, there is so much cool stuff out there. Anyhow, the price is pretty cheap, so no matter what happens, I'll be okay, it's just that this first ebay experience will likely decide whether or not to pursue this avenue in the future.

There is only one sure way to make it happen....nudge, nudge

I went over to my parents house today and retrieved the old Adam computer. Thinking that it was dead, I gave it one last shot. Turns out it works after all. It's just a little bit finniky. Anyway, my folks said I could keep it, as well as the 2 dozen or so games, & box for the computer. Score!!!

Frenzy is lightyears ahead of Berzerk. Not only are the graphics better, but the action is fast and the variety in the levels is greater. This is one of my all time favourite CV game. If you play in game mode 4, and survive long enough, there is an all reflector level that really kicks ass.

My all time favs are Missile Command and Moon Patrol.

Alright. Alex Kidd games are the best. You just brought me right back there. It seems here in Ottawa, SMS systems are hotter than Atari.

It seems the Colecovision had a similar design. '82, the year of the "embedded" controllers

I wasn't trying to single out any particular company, just thought it was a scary statistic, illutrating why I don't buy stuff online.

-
Aparently in the news the other day, I heard that online auction fraud accounted for the highest number of fraudulent business practice complaints. According to the FBI, over 45 000 complaints were filed last year
. Any thoughts? -
I am still relatively new to the technical aspects of classic video games. I was just wondering what an "easter egg" is. I am unfamiliar with the term but very curious.

You from sunny Leith by any chance?

Wow, you must be rich!!!

Yaa! I have a copy of Schroupfs! I guess that makes it the rarest cart I own.

Thank you very much for the info. I'm looking to pick up a LV for nostalgia's sake. It had a couple of really cool games.

When I was a kid I had a system called Leisurevision. It died a long time ago and my parents got rid of it when I was a kid. Once again I am thinking about that old system, however I have never heard anything about it since in the CGG forum, nor have I seen any of these systems or games in thrift stores. Does anybody have any information about Leisurevision and how rare it might be?

Hey, You stoll my Avatar!

Contra is one of NES's greatest achievements. It was the game that really converted me to Nintendo. At the time I was a little behind and pretty much on my ADAM.
-
I'd rate Turtles in Time (IV?) as tops, it had the best gameply in my mind. TMNT I would be next. I found TMNT II to be a very weak adaptation of the arcade game, which kicked ass. Never played TMNT III

They most certainly will.
They are identical, save for the printing that says ADAM. I have both kinds, and they worked when my ADAM was still alive. I miss the poor thing, may it rest in peace. -
Very cool indeed

What is the perfect game? Is there an end to it?
