  1. i meant if it's as wierd with things as the 2600 hundred is
  2. best graphics goes to pong easily i'm not joking either
  3. that's expensive i paid 150 us for my neo geo cd and it came with five games and two paddles and with alot more games to buy for it
  4. i imagine it's assembly to program the 7800 and 5200 right just like the 2600 and i'm having a hard enough time trying to program for the qurky 2600 i can just imagine the problems with those other systems
  5. anyway back to me getting a system here
  6. 7.16mhz ? wasn't the sega genesis only 9 and the snes only 7 ? that seems pretty fast for a low end 8bit i guess it isn't as low end as i always thought
  7. i have three 2600s so that's not the problem and well over a hundred games in doubles and stuff so trading isn't a problem and i've been checking out the game lists on the 7800 and it appeals more to me i like collecting a system that's got a small libary cause i don't have much money
  8. i don't think that any game has really pushed the system as far as it could go being that it wasn't around long enough for it to get to that point. if the system had been around as long as say the playstation. maybe we would of seen it's true power. my point is the system (jag) was around for what all but three years saying that a game pushes it to it's limits would be like saying that final fantasy 7 was pushing the ps one to it's limits cause after the first couple of years that was probably the best looking game for it. i think as homebrewing for the system increases and people find new things to tweak out a bit more power the jag could of really done some nice things and probably could of been on point with the playstation and maybe n64. just like playstation in it's lasts couple of years showed with games like ff8 and ff9 that it could still have some tricks up it's sleve. i think there is still alot that the jag could show us
  9. well the numbers seem to point the the fact that i thought which is that no system is really 64bit
  10. are the libaries for development free and what about a complier and good emulator maybe i'll get into developing jag stuff too i'm already doing abit of 2600 programming
  11. i should of picked that up before i'm programming for the 2600 it can't be that far off of the nes then right cause it was a z86 and the ataris were z24 right?? or z26
  12. how powerful in say contrast to the other 8bits like sega and nintendo was this system and how much would one cost with a few games and a pair of controllers and would someone trade one to me for my 2600 or maybe a sega genesis
  13. in contrast to the sega master system and nes you could say that both were pretty low end for 8 bit maybe they thought it would take two to add up to one of either sega or nintendo
  14. never thought something like this would be possible on the jag that would be cool to have
  15. i don't know my self but if jagaur programming is as hard as 2600 i'd just turn around now and walk away if i was you i think it would be even harder then 2600 with so many processors to get in sync. anyway you'd think since it's so old that the cd based system wouldn't have any protection from burnt discs so if you developed for it. it would be cheaper and easier with more space to program too
  16. i don't gotta any 8bit carts but if you still got doom later come back i'll buy it for cash
  17. what kinda cash does the cd add on cost
  18. hey you wouldn't just let me have doom and your controller for something would ya i need another controller and i love doom and have it for every system i own that it's on
  19. ya i know i was coding for a hour last night and i'm trying to have a couple of hours a night after work and school to code so i'm hoping to have something playable by the weekend
  20. what kinda load times are there for the cd add on is it as bad as say the neo-geo cd or sega cd i have both of those and load times are horrible then again i think the loads on my ps one are bad too
  21. maybe i'll try there but i would trade instead just cause i don't got alot of cash
  22. i want to get into homebrew but i'm clueless as too the eprom and general cart construction if i get to the point were i get a game i wanna put on cart would some one help in constructing the carts i'll provide the supplies i just don't got teh hardware for eprom programming
  23. i'd be interested in that yes for a trade with my neo geo pocket i want a few games though
  24. just card fighters and a stone blue system both are mint though
  25. so i'd need the cd add on if i wanted to play myst damn well maybe i can buy it for my saturn or playstation. anyway atleast atari wasn't stupid like sega and waste money cross producing games on both sides of the platform
