Everybody please stop replying to this topic! Don’t be like those dummies who reply to the mass emails at the office telling everyone to stop replying!

What's the point of ignoring topics?  There are literally hundreds of topics on these forums I've never read a single sentence from already

  4. It's been fun, all. Winding down activity, so I'll still answer a PM or two for a bit before shuttering the doors.

I dunno.. To me It's kind of like someone saying they're stopping visiting websites/internet or watching some show  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  5. Does your phone identify music?  Or does GOOGLE  "Search a Song"  just instantly say "UNABLE TO FIND A MATCH"   (Try Again) ?

Mine does that.  And NO,  restarting the Phone doesn't do anything...

    Maybe AI IS REAL!

My Phone used to try....But I stumped it so much it has given up hope!

  8. Looking at real estate, why do so many homes in the southwest have a sink in the laundry room?

    1. NE146

      NE146

Same stuff that you'd do in an exterior sink, i.e. tasks that's a little more convenient than just spraying an outside hose.. e.g. dye stuff, wash boots or any other dirt crusted/filthy non-clothing items, rinse your chemical drenched spray cannister out, bleach stuff, soak things for an extended period, cut up carcasses. 😛 etc.

What's this you've said to me, my good friend? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in conflict resolution, and I've been involved in numerous friendly discussions, and I have over 300 confirmed friends. I am trained in polite discussions and I'm the top mediator in the entire neighborhood. You are worth more to me than just another target. I hope we will come to have a friendship never before seen on this Earth. Don't you think you might be hurting someone's feelings saying that over the internet? Think about it, my friend. As we speak I am contacting my good friends across the USA and your P.O. box is being traced right now so you better prepare for the greeting cards, friend. The greeting cards that help you with your hate.

Yep there are standalone apps that run on your desktop as well although they often require updates as ebay updates their site/API, etc.   If you have the ability to whip up your own that will submit a bid with 6 seconds left etc.. that'd be the way to go. :)

There are a number of snipe tools that will automatically place your bid at whatever time you want.  I (not by any previous preference) use esnipe.com where I paid $5 a number of years ago and I still haven't ran out of points to snipe auctions. Granted, I don't buy too much off ebay.

  18. Getting ready for a god-tier poo! Got the timing right, got a soda and sammich and fiber for breakfast, and practiced proper posture!

  19. I ordered an Analogue Pocket on 12-14-2021.  And just checked tracking on the email about it shipping.  Should be here Tomorrow!  WOOOHOOOOOOO!

Not generally a fan of pre-orders,  but I think their stuff is worth the wait!

      NE146

Yeah man! https://www.reddit.com/r/AnaloguePocket/comments/yhdpso/analogue_pocket_quick_start_guide/ gives good overall info, and under "OpenFPGA Cores and Updaters" there's a list of the updaters. I tend to use "Pocket_Updater by Retrodriven" which has a Windows GUI

      https://github.com/RetroDriven/Pocket_Updater/releases/tag/v1.4.4

Super easy to use.. just click "Update Pocket" and select your SD card, or a directory on your computer, and off it goes.

Nice man.. make sure you just use one of the Pocket updater scripts to get all the cores (and/or updates) at once with zero hassle. :)

  21. Not everything needs to be some annoying emoji.

I really would like to post C : drive without it automatically turning into an emoji if the colon is next to the C.
Is it possible I can turn that feature off?

Anyway, updated DOS to support 6 drives

2 Disk, 2 DDP, Hard Drive and Ram Drive with a possible 7th being a Network Share but I'll cross that bridge if or when I get this thing running well.

  22. They always called them "cocktail" cabinets, but in all my young years back in the day, I don't think I ever saw one actually hold a cocktail. Only soda. I know many pizza parlors and other family restaurants had them. Hell, even some higher end steak houses had them in their entry/waiting area, but question for people who were of legal bar age in the late 70's/early 80's:  Were "cocktail" cabinet games actually common in bars/clubs.  And I mean dedicated bars/clubs, not merely pool halls, bowling alleys, or other places that might happen to serve beer/liquor?

    1. NE146

      NE146

They were common everywhere, but yes I definitely saw them in various bars, often right next to the cigarette machines. 😛

And no I wasn't of age then, but at 14 I was pretty acutely aware of where arcade games were available, and if a bar with a particular game I liked was attached to (or very nearby to) a major store or restaurant, etc, often I could just walk in and play them during the daytime, and no one really said anything.
