  1. are you willing to sell that Tempest machine??? I hate to ask whenyou just got it, but tell me if you plan on selling it, Im willing to buy.

    Just got it???? :o :o :o :o :o :o

This thread is from June 1 of 2002, nearly a year...

    oops....

....forgot to look at the date.

Are you willing to sell it anyway???? :D :D :D

  2. Is it just me or is there no point to "Ishido: The Way Of The Stones"? I dont have the manual to this game, neither does AtariAge. I mean, it looks cool, and makes me look intelligent when I play it on my laptop at school, but I can't find much of a point to it.

  3. OK guys, listen UP! Everytime I see a thread where someone trashes the 5200 because of the controllers I feel the need to speak up.  I've had a standing offer available for 5200 controller exchange/repair here on AA for quite some time. I've done some business with a bunch of great people here who all were VERY HAPPY with the deal they got from me. Send me 1 complete (no missing parts) but non-working 5200 stick + $25 and you will get back 1 completely rebuilt stick (new rev 9 circuit , 2 new triple dot fire buttons, and a new Start/Pause/Reset pad). Your joystick will be calibrated and tested and will arrive to you in perfect working condition. The $25 also includes your return Priority shipping with confirmation. How can you go wrong?   :)   I also have rebuilt ones for direct sale, which I can do for better than my normal eBay prices, and 5200 joystick repair kits too. I can also do a completely cashless transaction like a 3 for 1 exchange. Please PM if you have any interest in these offers, as there is no need to suffer along with crappy controllers any more!!!    :!:  :D  8)  The 5200 is a GREAT system and the controllers are pretty good if you have some that actually WORK!

The 5200 is a great system. No doubting that, I just think that the Lynx is better. I am interested a little in the joysticks, but I kinda like the 5200's feel. It just says 1984 all over it.

  6. Unfortunatley, I'd say Mario. (I hate the little jack***.) I wish Sonic was wore known but NO.... ...Dont listen to the SEGA fans....

Although, you must admit; In a fight, Sonic would kill Mario. Actually, Sonic would kill almost any character, I mean think about it....

Lara Croft could be a challenge for him though. Thats where Knuckles comes in   .

  7. I have 4 Atari shirts. A red one (with just the Fuji.), a blue one (also just the Fuji.), a Centipede one and an Asteriods shirt. As for being embarassed...

Well, I am. Im still in High School, and people pronounce it "at-er-e" and "a-tow-ri", and make bad remarks saying "wasn't that the 1st video game system?".

No you f***ing dumba**es, the Fairchild Channel F was the first video game system. (I think it was... Might have been the Odessey.)

By the way, Im looking for a Tempest shirt, I cant find any on the internet. If anyone could help me here, that'd be great.

  8. FOR NO GOOD REASON:

This is a contest where you can win.... A MOLDY PIECE OF CHEESE!!!! YEAH!!! RIGHT ON!!!!

Ok, Im thinking of 4 educational games from the 80s, I want you to name them, name them in order, and tell me a computer that they can be played on.

I'll go ahead and give you one of the games.

Alien Tales (Ok, this ones from the 90s, but this is the only exception

  9. Our digital camera isnt working. I know it sounds like a lie, but I promise Im trying to get pics.

The opening screen freezes up whenever I try to load a CD, yet 32X carts and Genesis carts work on it.

This is seriously cool. I'll get pictures as Soon as I can!

As for the name, I don't know, this only has a Sega logo on it.

  10. How far will the industry of games be able to go???

With the 3 systems we have out now, how are we ever going to get "new" systems? Soon, technology wont be able to advance much further, will games start to go backwards??? Will we (meaning the youth of the world that plays this shit.) be playing Sega Genesis and NES again? Even better, will we be playing ATARI again???

Im sorry but games arent going to be able to go much further. Games don't let you use your imagination anymore. They really dissapoint me. I know my idea will never happen, but wouldn't that be cool if it did?

  11. Holy ^$!!!!!

My friend was thrifting around at a Goodwill, and found a Sega system that both of us (we're Sega nuts) have never heard of!!!

    We think its a prototype!

It only came with 1 hookup (an RF unit), but we can supply a power cord.

Im not joking! As soon as I can, I'll try to got yall some pictures.

Ok, if you want a discription:

Its small, not much bigger than an original Game Boy, black (like so many other Sega systems...) and has a cartride slot that, now this is the wierd part, both 32X AND Genesis carts can fit in!!!! How the Hell?!?!?!?!?!

    Pictures shall come soon!!

(And no, we havent tested it yet... but Im doing that as soon as we find a power cord!)

Sounds like a Sega Nomad system.

No, you see, I have a Nomad. This is no Nomad. (Although I did mistake it for one when I saw it.

Did I mention that it has a CD slot? (No, its not a CDX either.)
