  1. I think this is going to be way harder than it has to be... way harder than just using a wifi modem. It would be great if it worked, but having looked at both methods recently for an online game project.... I don't think it will be an easy patch. Hope I'm wrong though.
  2. Has anyone seen him in awhile? He hasn't been here since 2017.
  3. *puts on his sunglasses and hat and flips up the collar on his trenchcoat* "Uh, I don't know what you're talking about......"
  4. So you're going to re-write something designed for a modem to work on a STing stack in assembler? Just wanted to make sure I understood that correctly?
  5. Unfortunately, that's how it handles a "busy" signal. Maybe now that there are better debugging tools I can try to follow the execution path better and make some modifications to it. I just wish the author would answer my messages. I'd like to know how far the ATASCII emulation was to being done. It was done enough to be documented, but it looks like it was disabled in practice.....
  6. You can always go home again..... ... the current owners may call the police on you for breaking in....
  7. Gotta love those psychic support tickets..... And thanks for the update, I'll go ahead and change it now.
  8. My ST BBS is running RatSoft ST (I also have an A8 running Carina)
  9. I should have thought about this before......... At any rate, I decided to update the BBS list at http://www.sfhqbbs.org/ataribbslist.php Now you can choose between displaying domain names or IP addresses with the selector at the top. The IP's are resolved when the page loads, so it should have the up to the minute information for those with dynamic IP's. Hope some of you find it useful.....
  10. The real question is... are you sure the 314 is the one that might be misaligned? Not the internal?
  11. I've used Everest for modifying my BBS files for... well... since the 90's. Unfortunately, I was never able to get a registered copy, so I have that nag screen.
  12. Really sorry man. I wish I could pick up a few more but I'm in the same boat as you currently. Hell, I would probably have been willing to go for the whole lot.
  13. Any hints were I can find Telstar? The google searches are inundated with the other results for the game of the same name.
  14. Ah, ok... that was the second time I saw that in as many days so I was starting to think it was someone's new Atari project.
  15. Thanks in advance. I haven't had a chance to play with the UIPTOOL yet and will be looking forward to seeing how it works. Just out of curiosity.... maybe I missed a memo... .but what is the Rogers Ignite Internet?
  16. Schweet. Glad you got it figured out!
  17. I'll see if I can get it for you... Also, I added MouseNet to the BBS list. If there are any systems missing, or any information incorrect, please let me know.
  18. I need to re-do that.... Just type in your desired alias and when it doesn't find you it should start the process. I need to re-do the prompt to reflect that.
  19. Actually, I just updated it to the IP address that he has on his ebay listings. I guess I forgot to save it when I changed it last night. It still doesn't work for me, but if you didn't have that, go ahead and try it with that IP address.
  20. For some reason I can't either.... Others (like John Polka) can, so I'm trusting JP and the SysOp that it's up. How long has it been since you connected last? For me, it's been a long time since I was able to.
  21. BikerBob.... He's from Ontario and has been doing a bit with this if I recall right.
  22. Well,it is on the website actually. Other than that.... well, wherever it is, it won't be known to those who don't know where it is, sooooooo.......
  23. Did you have a problem with the one I was doing (other than maybe not being so proactive in updating it?) Which I just did by the way.
  24. I've been planning to work on it but I was trying to set it up so that it could be dynamically updated and that's taking too long, so I think I'll do another manual edit (have to change the year anyway). In addition to setting it up so other people can do edits, the plan that I briefly talked to JP about was to let BBS's have a little module they can run when they come online (part of the startup script) that will let the site know they're up and running. But like I said, this keeps getting drawn out by some other things going on, along with the job hunt.... so I'll be updating it tomorrow while I'm taking full advantage of my unemployed status to watch some first round NCAA tournament action.
