I used Fansi too. In fact Im almost positive I registered it but I cant seem to find it Might have been on the drive that crashed 20 some years ago. More recently I've been using Pablodraw since I dont want to take the BBS down for screen work and it doesn't seem to want to run on the TT. Hopefully I can get the furniture rearranged and then I can get another st set up.... but thats a big undertaking.

Great blog post... Though I have to say I'm a little disappointed that a blog post about calling BBS's in ANSI on the ST didn't feature a screenshot of at least one of the ST BBS's (both have some decent ANSI going on). But still, enjoyable reading.

AnsiTerm works fairly well too. That's what I used back in the day (still use it to call my BBS). The flickers sometimes give me headaches.

I'm hoping to get one of my 1200xl's modded like that someday.

Is it still a pay BBS? Or is that old info?

The only problem I see with it right now is that it's not turned on. (Oh, and maybe that you aren't calling any BBS's yet).

Hello, is my PSU I bought from you 2 months ago already on the way? Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk I'm sure he'll respond quickly. After all, 5 minutes is standard in 2017.

Oh, and let's not forget that "FYI, he's been around here awhile...." yet somehow he missed the previous recent threads on the topic, pretended to be surprised how people turned on him (uh, hello? have you even READ any of the posts here?) and his first ever post was to complain about Atarimax POSTING IT IN BIG CAPITAL LETTERS TO MAKE SURE IT DREW EVERYONE'S ATTENTION! But >WE'RE< the trolls who need to think about our reactions before "going off" and scaring away the newbies. He's the one who makes people who are considering making real contributions to the Atari scene say "screw that" and not put the effort into it. Hopefully Atarimax can see he has more supporters than he does trolls. (And thank you for promising never to order from him again, that way at least we know you won't be posting here again since in all this time you never managed to post about anything productive). Seriously... what did you think was going to happen?

Well, the point of the commodore BBS server is that it uses a serial connection so it becomes a serial to telnet gateway ( replacing the lantronix box). The logging and nuisance block would be useful though (which is why I was experimenting with BBS server to begin with, but it didn't work right with SFHQ).

Just out of curiosity though, what functionality does it provide as a BBS server (I just route anything to the destination addresses for the BBS's right to the Lantronix boxes, but I could use something that kept track of the IP addresses...)

Sounds interesting. Best of luck with it... (Alas, i was hoping it would be a replacement for TCPSer or the Commodore BBS Server).

Was going to leave you feedback but I ran out of time (and didn't get a chance to call back since...) Not sure if you can do anything about it, but in Kingdom when you get your "end of turn" report, it goes away too quickly to see it. But other than that, I had fun with the games.

Actually, that's probably one of the few things from him I don't have yet, and I'd be interested in a walkthrough too.... (in exchange, anyone need a walkthrough on how to set up vintage machines to access telnet BBSs?)

Na, nothing could ever make me want to live in California, but if I had the means, this would make me consider visiting.

So far so good. I tried calling with ANSI and then again in ATASCII and had no problems. I couldn't stick around long but I'll be adding it to my normal rounds here soon.

Like I said before.... if you need anything, don't hesitate...... But damn dude......

I really need to see if I can get that SST working....... Maybe that will be a next weekend thing.
