Love the Marquee grand prize. Great idea!
Ready to play some Carol this month and save Christmas!
Enjoy the contest guys and gals ... there's nothing else like it around.

I think that's a prejudiced remark! Are you a piggist or an anti-porkite?
I'm a lover of all pork products (but especially bacon)
-
If only we had released a box! Sigh But there is no Official Box for Piggy. It stands as a Baggie release, a ROM in a Cart, smelling of bacon. But at the risk of being stoned to death It would have looked something like this. But there is no official box for Piggy Bank.
That looks nice! The pink is appropriate!

Ugh! I'm still stuck on level 6 but I haven't had time to play much this week. I'll get there eventually though. I'd bet my last Bacon Dum Dum on it!
Yep. Just played tonight for the first time. Fun game. Stuck on 6. I'll have to find some time to figure it out.

How many points will be competitive? I'd like to see how far away I really am from all you ringers. Should we shoot for highest level completed or most points?
Here's a link to last year's scores. http://www.carolvsghost.com/cvw/2014/pg_leaderboard.html?3
I expect at least Grips to hit the 20K mark as you tend to get incrementally better throughout the years ... I'm not playing for prizes this year ... just for fun (and maybe pride
).-

Wouldn't be an Intellivision Christmas without it!
Looking forward to watching the competition and seeing who can win it this year. Will Grips pick up from where he was last year? Did Pimp practice all year and is ready to crush everyone? Will Lid return to crush my last years score? Will we see a red score this year?
Let's enjoy the season with some friendly Intellivision competition!

EBAY - UNTESTED for PARTS ONLY
Doesn't this mean we tested it and it's all messed up!
Often, yes. However, many don't know how to hook them up to the newer tv's and I've bought things like this that have worked fine. I've even had some idiot who said that the Intellivision II was broke because the only way that he could turn it off was to unplug the power.

Yes, cut scenes

THIS! Adds to the story of the game!
Make it so!

Worried... No one is submitting pictures of their lack of spikers. Will they be put on probation? Suspended?
Lack of pictures likely isn't a problem for normal membership (we believe most people wouldn't lie about NOT having a Spiker). There are still leadership positions available (treasurer, secretary, etc) for those submitting pics.

10 brand new game ideas.
This this and this. Intellivision is great for the unique games that it introduced.
And I'll add three letters R P G !
If I didn't suck at programming, I'd do it myself!

Darn you Lathe ... that's 11 minutes of my life I'm not getting back.
That was, in a word, "bizarro". I'm going to be chanting that all day ...
-
It has ended at $396.01.
Not a real bloodbath
That's about where it's been floating around ... the high 300 to low 400 mark.
-
Absolutely! 30 years I've waited for this! Woohoo! ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️
30 Years??? I laugh at your 30 Years ... try being a Cleveland sports fan.

I will start on this list when I have the packages ready. We sold out the first batch. I would expect to hear from me sometime late next week. I haven't counted the requests and I'm hoping I've ordered enough to fill them.
I didn't think I'd get this many requests for a game I told no one to buy. :-) I'll go down the list in order...and only one person. The next batch should be labelled "2 of N", thereby increasing the resell value of my "1 of N".

Oh, you're gonna love this. I got a Nintendo Wii and The Last Story for ten dollars at a yard sale, but the system looks like it was resting at the bottom of a landfill for the past three years. The GameCube panel was ripped off, and the ports inside were filthier than a Larry Flynt magazine. However, a little cleaning (a LOT of cleaning) got the system back on its feet. If only I could say the same for the Wiimotes, which seem pretty much shot. The Wiimote Plus has burned out LEDs and can't communicate with accessores, and the standard Wiimote works only for fifteen minutes at a time before blinking out. Blast!
There's just something about bringing an old system back to its former glory. It truly is a labor of love.

Wow ... I can't believe this didn't sell for more. I would have bid on it if I would have thought that I could have won it for that!!!

Thread is now officially derailed into...
The CIB Colecovision collectors anonymous forum
Hello, I am Mark and I have a serious coleco problem too. I would like to welcome new obsessive collectors, please introduce yourselves.

Are you president of this club, too? Don't stretch yourself too thin, you're already president of another group ...

I would buy a Christmas Carol vs Ghost poster!
I just saw this ... make it so!!!

I actually have an extra and maybe a spare game or two. Send me a PM. At an accounting seminar at a moment (I know, non stop excitement, right?) but I'll try to get back to u tonight.
-
^ yeah, I hope I didn't come off *too* douchy there. It's kinda how I am

I don't think it's a huge problem, so long as people are honest about it. It's not my thing, personally (I'm a purist), but I totally understand why people like the look of a nice box. In a perfect world repro boxes would all be VERY obviously such, like entirely new artwork or something - still a very nice thing to hold your cart in, but never trying to masquerade as the "real thing" - like a 2nd printing of a comic where they use a different cover. But that's a bit of a different argument.
Oh goodness, don't make the boxes different, you're only creating new variants for he OCD in all of us!!!
-
Hotel Bunny? Hmm ... may have to search for that one!

PM sent.

The perfects are nice to brag about, but they are worth more on the later levels.
Level 1 & 2 are worth 10 points.
3 & 4 are worth 20.
5 & 6 are worth 30.
7 & 8 are worth 40.
My recommendations:
You will sometimes get perfects on 1 & 2, but don't try to hard for them. Not enough points to lose a life over.
Level 3 is the EVIL Candy Cove, just go for survival
.
Level 4, 5 and 6, try for perfects. Check out the tips for 4 and 5, there are some that will make them SO much easier.
Level 7, another dash and survive level. I recommend getting the present in the middle EARLY then duck, dash and snowflake your way to the presents!
Level 8, once you learn to control the "boss", you should be able to get perfects every time.
And yes, the patches (and mugs!) are worth the time and look great on your shelf (and are great for bragging rights
).
Good luck and practice often!
