  1. This would have been another good one to have on the flashback.
  2. That he did ... I bought a couple of rare Intellivision oddities (A Shock Vision game from Brazil and a French/English version of Super Cobra). GREAT seller, BTW ... packaged like a pro! If you ever see anything from him, buy it with confidence!
  3. Last weekend was my lucky weekend. PS1 (no cords) and several games including Black Label Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy IX, Bubsy 3D and Myst for $10. Couple other sports titles not pictured ...
  4. Someone I know really well may be putting one up to trade or sell soon .
  5. I laughed REALLY hard just now thinking of the pain and anguish seeing this must have caused you!!!
  6. SNES system (not the right AV cord though) from a yard sale. System looks beautiful with no yellowing (although the controller is yellowed, weird). Came with two games, Mario All-Stars and Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Got it all for $6 at a yard sale.
  7. I would personally like to see any and all noobs post their wares here in the marketplace if it means that we get ... EPIC threads like this! So, a special thank you Natalie888 ... your ignorant contribution has created this land of mirth and revelry and Shatner ... Hip hip, hooray!
  8. If you post a list of what you need, I'll look through my bundle at home and see if I can help you out. I know that I have some Imagic and lots of others ... too many to go through and list.
  9. Why am I still reading this thread? It's like a train wreck ... the carnage is horrible, I don't enjoy reading it but I can't seem to look away. It's yet another "no good can come of this conversation" thread ... but it's either read this or another recently necroed thread from soporj ...
  10. I am publicly announcing that I will have last place locked up with my entry to the contest. I've always wanted to make a game ... been a dream of mine for a long time ... it may suck royally ... but there will be an entry!!!
  11. You finally managed to make me smile with one of these. The new soporj is growing on me.
  12. Cleveland Ohio (Akron/Fairlawn to be exact). We don't find a lot of oddities around here so that's why I scooped it up. Thanks for the link ... I had found that (and ONLY that link) but it didn't tell me where it likely originated from. South America maybe?
  13. This was so different that I couldn't pass it up for $4 at a Salvation Army. Never seen or heard of it before ... a Saba KW-501 (a Sega Mega Drive clone). Anybody seen one of these before? Does it have any collector value?
  14. If time is the major factor, one thing that you could always consider is to sell some of your stock at a wholesale price to a trusted eBay seller. That seller could then be labeled an official Authorized Reseller for AtariAge. If you find someone with an eBay store, they have (at least) 150 free listings a month and that only counts for unique listings (listing Halo 2600 with 20 items available is still only one listing). Then, you make money on volume, the reseller can make a profit and a reasonably priced copy of your games can be constantly available on eBay. It would obviously have to be priced a bit higher due to eBay/Paypal fees, etc, but wouldn't be the outrageous prices that we sometimes see.
  15. This is a FANTASTIC idea and thanks to all for starting and supporting it! Can't wait to see what games come out from this ...
  16. Little late to the game but just ordered my copy. I was on the fence until I saw that it had a snow level . Thanks Rev!
  17. Sega Genesis System with several boxed games for $12 at a yard sale this past weekend. Includes Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3!
  18. Couldn't have said it better myself. If you want to be treated as a business professional make sure that you act like one. In the immortal words of Elsa ... (My daughter will be SO proud of me making a Frozen reference )
  19. Now that's a classic series ... boy who turns into a girl when splashed with cold water! I actually started on Urusei Yatsura (ah, Lum!) but Ranma was my all time favorite anime. And yes, I remember buying the laserdiscs at insane prices, especially for a college student. Heh, just to proclaim my ultimate geekdom, I was the editor for a very small magazine for the AAA (Akron Animation Association) from the University of Akron. We had a pretty nice club for several years and was able to show movies at the campus movie theater. Ah ... the memories.
  20. Joe Z is at the top of my list there! I'd also love to hear from Dave Akers. You can add David from Intelligentvision as someone who has a rich history with the system as well that I would love to hear stories from.
  21. Well ... since everyone else is giving their opinions ... I'm an semi-infrequent listener (meaning, I've listened to maybe half of the episodes) and none of the most recent ones. What I find myself listening attentively to: * The programmer interviews. I find it fascinating to listen to stories of the original design back in the day. These are BY FAR my favorite part of the shows. * The game reviews. Always interesting to see what others think of the games. * Any homebrew news, updates or interviews What I find myself listening to but not getting as much out of: * Current Intellivision News - Why? Cause most the news I already know about from here ... What I find myself skipping through: * The Listener interviews. The ones I've listened tended to drag on for my tastes and I started skipping through. Idea for future segments? * Game X Versus Game Y segment. Each episode you could have a battle royale between two (or more) games and come down the official top ten list for the podcast through time. If you are bringing in listeners, let them be "guest stars" in the game judging, or, let Keith or one of the programmers have their say on the debate! Just my thoughts, you mileage may vary ...
  22. So, yeah, today's find and adventure. I'm at a yard sale and see a Nintendo Gamecube, all cords with two remotes (one was a Wavebird w/ remote receiver). A sticker on the system said "Comes with 10 Games" for $30. I asked to see the games and she tells me that her daughter forgot to bring them over and she would be back later with the games. Well, it's a good deal so I say fine ... I pay the $30, take the system, exchange information and agree to come back and pick up the games later. Innocent, gullible (or maybe greedy) me . So ... I get a call from the daughter says, OOPS, we were pricing the games individually and not including with the system, mom had just messed up. Ugh ... had her read off the games and prices (Mario Kart $30, etc). So, I showed my annoyance and asked her what kind of deal she'd give for the games. Individually priced, they were $115 (yeah, right) but she'd sell to me for $65 but, she thinks that Mario Kart disc is already in the system (which it was, hello bargaining chip ). So, I offered $50 for the rest, stuck to my guns more because I was annoyed than anything else, I finally got them for that. Worth more than the $30 yeah, and worth more than the $80 I ended up paying, but still annoying to make a deal and then have someone play the oops card.
  23. Oh Spiker, Spiker. Wherefore art thou, Spiker Super Pro Volleyball?

  24. Gotta love saving a piece of history from the landfill ... even if it looks like it could use a key or two . Enjoy the C64! Great system that provided hours and hours of fun for me as a kid.
