Hmmm ... I don't recall if it was a "bug" or just an improvement, but I remember sending back my cart of Spina the Bee to have it updated.

What is WRONG with people? I'm going to sell the holy grail of my Intellivision collection but where should I take a photo to get the best lighting ... oh, I know ... right on my crotch! Having bare feet in the picture is one of my main pet peeves, however, this might just top it. I'd hate to see where he puts it when he's NOT taking pictures. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-Spiker-Super-Pro-Volleyball-/281717300152?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4197a8dbb8 Oh, and to add to the insult, there's a reserve on the $750 starting bid.

Didn't even notice that! There is a sticker sheet inside the back cover with all the stickers intact. A few Marios, Metroid and a Link sticker. Cool! -

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
Fushek replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Nice find. You'll likely get your money back from just The Curse of Monkey Island ... everything else is gravy. Here's my yard sale finds of the day: Official Nintendo Player's Guide - $.50 cents Nintendo 64 Pen and Case - $1.50. Don't know much about the pen (value/rarity) other than some crazy person on eBay is TRYING to sell theirs for $200. If it doesn't sell, I'll use it to sign checks here in the office . -
Let's look at the positive here ... 1) You're famous! Believe me, NO ONE wants my autograph. 2) You created a game that sold out of all copies and the final existing ones are selling for a premium. A testament to your game. 3) They are being sold by Soulbuster. He's not some schmuck who just signed up on the forums looking to peddle his wares ... he is a fan who has done good things for the community and the hobby. There's at least one CIB game due to his involvement that I'm aware of and he has worked to help bring others to us as well.

I saw them for $20 at our Sam's Club (along with the Colecovision) a while back and they sold pretty quickly. Never saw under 10.

Looking very cool. So are you basically only running through the maze or will the objects on the earlier screens give you any other abilities? (A teleport system would be a cool feature!). Love the helicopter action and the intro piece.

Um, yeah. Let's tone down the anger a bit. Nurmix is a well respected member of this community and puts together a great podcast for us fans. He's a true fan of the system and has done a lot in promoting it and bringing voices from the past in to discuss the system I love. Treating him (or anyone else here) rudely because you disagree with their opinion is not cool.

Yeah, that sums up my opinion on this as well. I was shocked when I saw the $100,000 price tag to get this rolling. I'm not going to pretend to understand their financing or programming needs, but these games don't seem "deep" enough to constitute that much of a goal. In Astrosmash, you shoot things in the sky. That's it. The game play itself doesn't change except that something different is falling or flying across the screen. I haven't looked, but I'm pretty certain I could find a similar shooting game on my iPad for .99 cents (or even free). The reason I love the Intellivision is nostalgia. The reason I buy most homebrews is that I play them on my original hardware. I don't need an "updated" PC version of anything ... but give me an awesome new Intellivision game on a cartridge by a blue sky ranger (or even a new flashback addition) and I'll put my money where my mouth is.

You Might Be Addicted to Intellivision If ... this shows up in your sponsored links from eBay: https://www.schoolsin.com/Merchant5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=JPS-TS612&Store_Code=SCHI&gdftrk=gdfV27481_a_7c1079_a_7c2625_a_7cJPS_d_TS612&Shopping

I'll ask the typical questions ... JasonlikesINTV would like to know when the overlays will be available. Rev would like to know if there is a snow level. Everyone else would like to know when it'll be released CIB. Did I miss any ? Oh ... and thanks for the game!

The Intellivision is my main love (124 of 125) and definitely post the majority of the time in the Intellivision section. I have a solid collection of Odyssey 2, Atari 2600, Sega Genesis, PS1, NES, Sega Master, Vectrex and others. However, it's true that I'd rather have a Spiker more than about any other game for any other system at the moment.

Wow ... the rare RED STRIPE edition of the Intellivision II http://www.ebay.com/itm/INTELLIVISION-II-CONSOLE-INTELLIVOICE-VOICE-SYNTHESIS-MODULE-rare-red-stripe-/361296501178?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item541ef319ba

Reasonable prices on some sealed games that I don't see too often (Loco Motion and Microsurgeon): http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=xwred5w33&hash=item20fbde7ed6&item=141664616150&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR9.TRC1.A0.H0.Xintellivision.TRS2&_nkw=intellivision&_sacat=0 What caught my attention was that they have a price sticker from Kay Bee stores. I remember the red marker crossing out the prices and being repriced as I rummaged through the bargain bin at the store. This was the only place that I really remember carrying the Imagic games around me. I really wish I could remember back if they had any of the rare late titles. Amazing that a price tag alone can take you back in time!

You have to leave a few goodies for us out there from time to time .

Sure thing! When I get it, I'll be happy to take some pics/scans.

That and this ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/181735756512?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I'd never seen the Canadian/French version of Super Cobra and the only other Shockvision box I'd ever seen was some cmart posted way back when ... don't know if I overpaid, but those were two unique items that I couldn't pass up.
