  1. Triple Dog-Dare you - bump! I think that we've been very patient ... some update on progress would be appreciated.
  2. ... Drool ... * Fushek runs to check how much is in his Paypal account, sighs and hangs his head low, and continues to drool. *
  3. My wife tolerates my addiction. I'd be perfectly happy to do as you suggested in letting her buy stuff for herself but my wife is NOT a spender. She doesn't buy things for herself ... so it's only me "wasting" my money on this stuff. The only silver lining for me is that I buy and sell a lot of things on eBay so I have more cash coming in than going out. This, she'll occasionally help with, going to yard sales or thrifting to find resale items. The basement, however, being cluttered with stuff doesn't exactly help. My wife actually is more annoyed when I PLAY my games than buying ... I don't think that I'm supposed to actually have fun without her .
  4. Just found the Kickstarter for this and bought myself a blue and a clear for the two 64C's that I have. Just beautiful ... and can't wait to get them. Hopefully, even a novice tinkerer such as myself will have no problems swapping them out.
  5. Nice find! Congrats! *** leaves to go back to eBay and click refresh on new listings for the next couple of days ***
  6. Ah ... to quote Barf from Spaceballs ... "It's not that we're afraid, far from it, it's just that we've got this thing about death... It's not us!" I have no plans on dying anytime soon but my wife knows that most of my collection has value. I'm assuming that my collection will be sold to the highest bidder on eBay and will help fund my kids' educations. What a pleasant topic!
  7. Stevil ... don't take it personally ... we're generally wary of newbies with rare items as there have been scams run here before. Some of us let our passions control reasonable thought at times. A couple of items in his defense ... NO ONE knows the value of this item. I'm fairly well versed on the values of Intellivision items, but this one is a guess. I wouldn't expect him to know its value if hardcore collectors don't know the value. The picture is blurry but clear enough to seem like the real deal ... if it were a stock photo taken from the web, we'd know it. This looks legit, even to the point of a date stamp on the picture. He wouldn't be the first person to come here researching the value of Intellivision items (guilty as charged) and it's smart to be wary of any potential sale from someone new. But at least he's been upfront and posted original pics which is steps beyond many others have done in the past.
  8. Keep in mind, that ANYTHING intellivision related (if only pamphlets, sales or notes/ information) from this person could be worth something. It may look like junk to you, but don't be too quick to toss anything that says mattel or intellivision! Great find! And you'll have a very hard time finding a base value for this as they do not show up often. I've seen maybe one or two others? One may have hit ebay in 2013?
  9. I tapped out at $450. As much as I would like it, that's an awful lot of money for a game. I hate having that empty spot on the shelf though!
  10. According to completed listings ... it did indeed sell. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&ghostText=&_sacat=0&_nkw=Adventure+Island+3+%26+Felix+The+Cat&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc That's just crazy talk.
  11. Dear Eric7100, I disagree. It is not always good or bad, occasionally, it's like Switzerland (neutral). And truly, if there are those who take their phones down rather than up, does that truly make them a better person? I think there are times in life that we become too judgmental and we have a tendency to cast people into categories as you have here. Those who did some form of work are the star bellied sneeches but those who performed no work have no stars upon thars. Does this mean the the star bellied sneeches were any more valuable or better people? The great communicator Dr Seuss has proven this to not be the case. It says nothing to your reputation if you do it "Every time", it speaks more to your reputation that you have judged those who if they did bring up their phones that they might resort to violence (ala fist fighting). I don't mean to belittle you and sully your reputation with these words, I write them in the hopes that you may see the err of your ways with the upping of the phones. Ask not another to bring up their phone if you have not your own phone brought up. Sincerely, Fushek
  12. This is one of the few that I'm missing and have some cash at my disposal ... the question becomes "How bad do you want it?" Not to mention that I haven't seen it for a LONG time. Hmm ......
  13. Winter sucks. Can't wait for spring to hit and bring some yard sales again! The well's been dry for a while but found a blue and pink Justifier gun. $1.99 each.
  14. Any Disney fan's dream is to go to Disneyworld. Any Intellivision fan's dream should be to go to Cmart's house. You should offer Fast Passes to the Super Secret Spiker collection room. But we will settle for pictures when ready ...
  15. Blue Ghost. Red Ghost. Wait until you learn the secret of the Green Ghost! Yep ... had a blast planning with Dz-Jay Saturday morning. Where else do you have the ability to talk with the programmer and plan your own tweaks for your own private copy of the game? Amazing experience!
  16. Yep. Seeing the back is the easiest way to tell. If you have a purple border around the white/text area, it's a gatefold. The other version is all white. If you only see it from the front, there is noticeably more blank space above the title of Burgertime. Nice find. I opened my sealed one and it is the copy for my collection!
  17. What's with this guy and his pictures on the steps? Everything is neat and orderly, but is there nowhere better in his house to take a picture of your $485 overpriced auction? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-MATTEL-INTELLIVISION-VIDEO-GAME-SYSTEM-MIB-INTELLIVOICE-45-GAMES-/151594975404?pt=Video_Games&hash=item234bc3c0ac "Honey! Don't come up the stairs yet ... I'm taking pictures!"
  18. Nice find! Love the vintage Apple stuff. Pics? What all came with it?
  19. The spirit of the original game was to annoy and piss you off ...
  20. Congrats! A rich, immersive and very ambitious game. Well deserved!
  21. Do you use the disc or the button to "jump"? This game would be a thumb killer if its the button! Not to be a downer, but I can't see myself buying this one ... it's repetitive and boring. I can't see myself ever pulling out the cart and playing this one.
