Not sure what it is ... but since it's nothing to do with boats, is it the color scheme that's important? White balls, red and blue/purple. Coincidence? This pic is currently Rev's profile background ...

With the spine intact, it'll still display nicely, especially if you put in in a plastic, protective box.

So ... totally off topic, but my daughter's high school band's half-time show is the "80's Mix Tape" playing Crazy Train, Mr. Roboto and others. They have a student announcer that cracks me up ... making 80's references between songs. So ... if you're REALLY bored, it's worth at least skipping between songs just to listen to his intros. Band isn't bad either (biased opinion )

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread

The best part about this is the box itself with the totally tubular 80's family. It's funny (at least to me) that my daughter's high school band is playing 80's songs for their halftime show and they have an announcer that makes retro comments for each song. My favorite is when they say they're taking on "Mr. Roboto" like "He-Man on Skeletor". -

Ugh ... let's keep the politics out of here ... it's bad enough that it's invading sports and everywhere else. Please don't pollute my video games ... it's my happy place. -
Just checked ... I PM'd him on June 13th, which is coincidentally the last day that he made any postings on AA per his profile. My fault for not requesting much earlier when I figured this would inevitably happen ... oh well, a $120 lesson learned. And yes, we all wish him good health if that's the issue.

It's been three months since I requested a refund for this game (and Mars Minis) from Groovy. I haven't heard from him in that time and my messages show as Not Read. Not trying to be "that guy" but after three months and no response I'm wondering if ANYONE has heard from him?

Price surge for Intellivision Flashback Overlays?
Fushek replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Yeah, thought that was odd as well. Maybe they didn't notice the auction? The irony of the situation is that I used profit from selling overlays to buy more overlays. Ordered one of the "blemished" Imagic overlay sets. -

Cool, thanks for the info. I found info on the 2.6 and I was able to test it. The Kluge cart only displays a blank screen. Is that normal or is it not functioning?
-
Anyone know anything about these carts? Found them in an Atari batch from an estate sale. One is labeled 2.6 DOM and the other says Kluge Signal Tracing. Any info would be appreciated!
-
Has anyone heard from Groovy? I PM'd him a couple of times over the past month and a half, no response, and he hasn't posted anything since then either. Hope everything is OK!?

I'm not certain if you're trying to be funny or trying to be a jerk. You're coming off as a jerk, though, just FYI.

XBox Modded with Intellivision (Retro Games)
Fushek replied to ZillaRUSH's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Yep ... can't recommend one of these enough to others. It doesn't do the Inty justice as you say, but man, the COINOPS is spectacular and being able to play through some of the NES/SNES RPG games is a great time as well. -
And yet another post to say "PM Sent"

Ready...Player One - anyone read it?
Fushek replied to IMBerzerk's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Hmm ... never heard of it, but never have time to read any more. I'll check it out and see if I can find an audio copy somewhere. Being read by WW is a plus! -

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
Fushek replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Agreed ... not very often will I drive by a sale. Only if I'm in a large development of sales and it looks like all baby clothes ... then I'll drive by and hit more promising sales first, maybe going back to that one later. Lots of people now looking for video games/systems in my area so need to hit the sales early for anything good! Anyone else seeing a new influx of people looking for video games at sales? -
XBox Modded with Intellivision (Retro Games)
Fushek replied to ZillaRUSH's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
You won't regret it ... Lots of 80s goodness and reliving some memories of the arcades. It's fun to just scroll through the thousands of games and saying, "Hey, I remember that game!" Load it up and play for a while. Also great to show off when friends come over. With over 5000 games, easy to find something that just about anyone from our day remembered playing! Enjoy! -
XBox Modded with Intellivision (Retro Games)
Fushek replied to ZillaRUSH's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I bought one from a fellow AA'er who does them. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/259434-fs-customized-tsop-xbox-128mb-ram-large-hdd-coinops-8-r4-massive/page-3?hl=%2Bmodded+%2Bxbox&do=findComment&comment=3784654 I went all out with Coinops 8 ... and all the old systems and I love having it. I can play Tapper one night, Zelda the next or Dragon's Lair another night. Good times! -

Found these at a yard sale and couldn't pass them up, some kid would have been happy to have these ... these absolutely SCREAM the 80s . -
That is awesome! Gotta have that wood grain look to it. Very nicely done ... much kudos!
-
Very sad news ... thank you for the memories.
