  1. I'm looking to see if anyone has a working Intellivision 1 power cord. I have a unit that is working, however, the cord has wire showing and it doesn't exactly look safe. I would be happy to buy one or work a minor trade with anyone who has one.
  2. Shut up and take my money! Huge RPG fan ... reminds me of Ultima! This will be a must have for me
  3. It is with a heavy heart that I assume the position of President from the former President Who Must Not Be Named (who is now dead to me and will eternally burn in the fires of Mount Doom). We are currently accepting applications for new members to make me feel better and remind me that I am not alone .
  4. Math Fun has growling noises for the animals.
  5. At least it is a labor of love. As mentioned earlier, there's a sense of pride in salvaging these and getting them back into the hands of those that will love them ... at a small profit, of course
  6. Very good game ... if you don't have a copy, highly recommended. BTW, I think that this one has my vote for the best box art of any Intellivision game ... ever.
  7. For future reference and searches, here is a listing of the recent keyboard component and the software sales: Intellivision Keyboard Component - Powers on, shows on screen, non-functioning tape deck - Sold for $2,330 Conversational French - CIB - $331 Jack LaLanne's Physical Conditioning - Sealed - $347 Basic Data Storage - Sealed - $368 Crosswords 3 - Sealed - $204 Crosswords 1 - CIB - $255 Family Budgeting - CIB - $440 Basic Cassette and Cartridge - Box, manual and data cassette only (basic cartridge missing) box poor to fair condition - $135 So in 5 years when the next person selling asks what they are worth, there is at least some reference point .
  8. Cheap Backgammon with color manual for anyone who's looking: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Backgammon-Intellivision-1980-with-Keypad-covers-/232295653521?hash=item3615e66091:g:NbcAAOSw4A5YvIJd
  9. 1 Million Bonus Points to Groovy! You're in the lead!!! Jason, that's Drax the Destroyer (or apparently some call him Bob) from Guardians of the Galaxy. If you haven't seen it ... you are missing out on a classic!
  10. "Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast, I would catch it." Bonus points to the first person who names that character!
  11. Yep. We had a Kaybee Toys store in our "local" mall in Zanesville, OH. I remember rummaging through the clearance bin and finding games for cheap, 2.99 to 7.99 if memory serves. A lot easier to ask for something from mom and dad at that price point . That was fun to sift through although I'm pretty certain I'd enjoy it more now!!! The one I specifically remember was getting Dracula out of the bargain bin. Probably also where my parents bought Learning Fun I & II for my little brother. Too bad my parents tossed every box but our small house had next to no storage available.
  12. Great commercial, haven't seen that in years:
  13. Agreed. The global exposure that your item gets on eBay, especially on rarer items, usually will result in a higher price that more than covers the 12% or so ... your mileage may vary. And I'll second the motion requesting (begging?) for you to take the time to describe your experience there. I know that the entire community would be fascinated to hear about anything that you can remember about it.
  14. Wow, very cool ... those are very rare and difficult to price, especially the still sealed ones as I don't remember ever seeing any. I would highly recommend listing as auctions on eBay and letting the market decide the price. I'm pretty certain that you will not be disappointed. If you're looking to sell outside of eBay, I'm certain that there are a few people (I see Cmart has already sniffed them out) here more than willing to make you solid offers. Do you mind if we ask how you got them? Are they originally yours or are they a stellar find?
  15. Great seller ... bought a modded xBox and very happy with the results. I will never be bored again! Very helpful and knowledgeable!
  16. Yep ... had to fix my stupidity . Corrected now. And thanks ... now just have to explain to the wife
  17. Ugh, I hate spending money, but couldn't pass on this one. Decently priced LF II boxed at $280 and I only had the cart previously. Box looks a little rough, but beggars can't be choosers. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-Learning-Fun-2-with-Box-And-Instructions-Complete-RARE-Original-/162443210369?hash=item25d25eae81:g:PSgAAOSw4CFY1Qz1
  18. Lol. I like the overlays, but if someone wants them that bad, they can have them! I have kids going to college soon!
  19. It'll be cart only, however, someone will make a small supply of boxes for it and auction them off. To quote Rev: "Too soon? Too soon?"
  20. I appreciated the humor . As a hobby, we can't take things too seriously, right?
  21. In Soulbuster's defense, auctioning them here is better than auctioning them on eBay. Here, you're getting them into the hands of fellow collectors ...
  22. It's all good ... This wasn't an attack on you or anyone in particular, nor am I accusing anyone of anything nefarious. Just stating what I thought was an obvious fact: it's not good for the hobby as evidenced by this thread being 9 pages long. We had something similar not long ago with BC Quest for Tires in which only certain people were invited to purchase ... some felt left out . BTW, I admire your work and dedication in helping others with filling in gaps for their collection and you do great work from what I've seen, but don't be surprised when someone else is jealous (or upset) that they don't have the pretty, shiny box too. So pretty ... shiny ... my precious ... I know that I would jump at the opportunity to get one of the Piggy Bank boxes. If you ever decide to make more, I'm sure that I (among many others) would scarf them up quickly. It was such a fun game and looks so naked up on my shelf . That game certainly deserves a box!
  23. Yeah ... that's the road I'm already on. Priorities have been changing. I'm picking and choosing those games that I buy now. As to the box scene, I personally think that this is crazy. This is NOT a healthy development to the hobby to start "one off" boxes to a limited number of members.
