Funny ... I've considered doing something similar, like trying to decorate a wall in my game area with box covers. I'd say go for it and as to whether or not it's sin ... I don't see the Intellivision police knocking on the door! Make one and post the pics! I'd like to see how it comes out.

If still available, I'd be in for a special edition of Carol as well. Not to mention Space Patrol and 4-Tris (if available as well)!

Lol! DZ, what was the sign on the table that said "Whoops..." I couldn't read the rest? Oh God! Don't make me relive that again. I'll post more details later, but we found a critical bug AT the show! Gaaaah! How's that possible after all the testing you did? Bummer. were you able to sell the games or do the all have to be fixed? Ugh. There was a last minute change that, evidently, was not properly tested for regressions. We sold a lot, that's why we put up the posters to try to get people to come talk to us for an exchange or something. Naturally, we halted sales until I fix the game, and test it THOROUGHLY. So, beta testers, get your CC3 carts ready! We go some work to do! When you say you sold a lot, were you quite pleased with sales up to the point you discovered the bug? Was the reaction good? I noticed Keith was right across from you guys, he's wasn't upset that stuff was being made for his console was he? I also noticed the Minehunter box, I take it that was there for creating interest? By the way, did I see $70 as a price tag? Soooo many questions... That's what I saw ... $70 for Christmas Carol! Homebrews are going up but well worth it to get a new, unique game to add to the collection.

The Ultimate PC Interface is available for Intellivision
Fushek replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Hmm ... just ordered Super NFL and Flintstones minutes ago without a problem so it's not sold out. -
My dad worked for GTE which was part of Sylvania who distributed their own version of the Intellivision. He got a discount so that's the game system that he brought home. Many hours of Major League baseball later, I became a fan.

Oh goodness, certainly not hours. I wouldn't be surprised at 20 or 30 minutes a day (in short 1 or 2 minute bursts). Saved searches are my friend.

Interphase games were Blockade Runner and Sewer Sam. Dextell / Nice Ideas released two titles through INTV Corp (Championship Tennis and World Cup Soccer). I'm sure there's several, but this website has a lot of this information about the companies and what games they released: intvfunhouse.com

Announcing Christmas Carol's Grand World Debut
Fushek replied to DZ-Jay's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Fantastic! Glad to see it coming out ... can't wait. I'll definitely be buying a copy. Love to see original games. -
I have some items for the Intellivision that I'm interested in trading for CIB copies of games that I don't have yet. Also may be interested in any CIB Commodore 64 RPG games (especially Ultima series) as well. Here's what I have: Mission X - Gatefold version, very nice condition (transaction pending) Space Spartans - French/English variation, very nice condition (transaction pending) Sealed Games (most are in good condition but all may have some flaw ... a couple mentioned, ask about any specifics): AD&D: Treasure of Tarmin - condition good, couple of small punctures in seal/box Space Armada Tennis Armor Battle Night Stalker Utopia Astrosmash Space Hawk Lock N Chase Mission X (some crushing on the box) Reversi Horse Racing (some discoloration) Vectron Couple loose rarer ones: Diner World Series Major League Baseball As for trade, these are some that I am looking for (CIB and decent condition): Beamrider Commando Defender Diner Dracula Happy Trails Hover Force Ice Trek Kool-Aid Man Mind Strike Motocross Mr. Basic Meets Bits 'N Bytes Popeye Q*bert Scooby Doo's Maze Chase Sewer Sam Slap Shot Super Pro Hockey The Jetsons' Ways With Words Thin Ice Tropical Trouble Truckin' Venture World Cup Soccer Worm Whomper If you have one that I'm looking for and don't think that I have enough in trade, we can talk about adding cash one way or vice versa as well.

You have a great start with ordering the D2K. As for the system, it's more a matter of preference than anything else in my opinion. I like the original model myself and would recommend that and most times you can get a voice module along with a unit at the same time. As to the ECS, I wouldn't make that a priority since there were only a handful of games that utilize the ECS (which, by the way, looks much better with the Intellivision II if you care about the aesthetics of your collection). The common games are fairly inexpensive and most times you can find a good deal on eBay for a lot of them (make sure that you get a Burgertime, no Intellivision collection is complete without that one!) As to price, you can expect to pay somewhere around 50 to 100 for a nice unit with voice module and a handful of games on eBay. There's also some people here that may be willing to sell some stuff at reasonable prices as well.

Local Goodwill finds ... nothing spectacular but at least something as Goodwill hasn't produced much lately. Crash Bandicoot Warped PS1 (no manual) - $2 Call of Duty (CIB) Gamecube - $3 Zelda Guide for the Phantom Hourglass - .50 And a really cool game called Battleground: Crossbows and Catapults - $3 -
Brag about your other systems and games

My other hobby is the Commodore 64 in which I used to play all of the RPG's. I have all three of the Bard's Tale series (CIB of course!) which is the GREATEST game series ever! May look to get some others such as Defender of the Crown (can't wait to see it come out for the Intv as well) and some of the Ultima series. I recall many late nights playing Bard's Tale and drinking Dr. Pepper (which may be why I no longer have a gall bladder since last year now that I think about it ...) Ah ... the memories! -
I don't know how to say this any better than ... this sucks. This should be simple ... programmer creates great game, someone pays programmer for game, programmer and publisher make money, customer buys and everyone is happy. Seems simple to me ... why all the drama? Carl, I don't know you other than from the board, but you've created one heck of a game and I hate to see talent leave the arena that I, and many others, love. I hope that you reconsider, yet understand if not. Good luck in your future endeavors which I hope may one day come back to the Intellivision.

Is there any other way to own it? Thanks for the advice, I'll look it up and see if the kids would enjoy. -
How about an alien audience watching the match in the background? Other thoughts (that maybe don't fit in the Tennis is Space idea) if you want to show land at the bottom and have a mountain/scenery in the background move. You could also put the court on "wheels" and show them rolling as well but that would probably require more MOBs that you probably don't have available? If you made it on land, those could be asteroids hitting the planet ...

LOL! Terra Nova's a pretty good game, nice little basic turn mechanic of move, place, score without the game being too complicated. There's some abstract elements of Go in it which can get a little complicated, but overall it's a good little game for 2 players. There's a couple weird nuances to the rules that can get confusing, though, so be prepared to be a little confused at the end of the first game or two, but after that you'll get it fine. Definitely worth 50 cents for sure (then again, I don't really turn down many board games at that price, especially an abstract or Euro), but the game does have some flaws that made it not worth the initial $30 or so at retail. Definitely worth a couple plays, and I'd pay the $10 or so it goes for on BGG and eBay for it for sure. Our family has been getting into this type of game (started with Ticket to Ride, a really fun game IMHO) so I was excited to find it. My kids are 9 and 10 and just getting to the age where they can play some of these. Now if only I get them them all hooked on Axis & Allies, my life would be complete. -

What kind of media is that Terra Nova on? What are the system requirements? Looking at Google and Youtube I could only find reference to a battle game called Terra Nova. Very interesting. AX Oops ... should have mentioned that's just a board game, not a video game. -

Found these at a local yard sale, one of the best of the year (and you would have NEVER though it by the looks of the sale, almost past it up)! SNES - Secret of Mana ( 50 cents ) N64 - Pokemon Stadium 2 ( $1) N64 - Banjo Kazooie ( $1) Terra Nova (looked like an interesting game to play with my son for 50 cents!) Good luck to all posters! -

And it's marked as "acceptable"! Really, quality 'standards' can actually be very... subjective! I'm tempted to buy it so that I can put it out of it's misery and give it a proper burial. Poor little guy ... he just wanted to be loved ... (taps playing in the background)

Ultimate PC Interface for the Intellivision

Great Idea ... I would be in the market for one of those as well.
