  1. Not exactly a book..... Gorf's programming playground.
  2. You can hit 'quote' and then 'reply' to reply with what I or others have said in quotes. And you don't need to eat. Get your priorities straight. Well, well, I can finally edit on AA without the forum freaking on me.
  3. I will look into repairing the unit. I suppose if I can bring it back to life it would be better than making a another 2600 devise. Where is a good place to order parts? 920337[/snapback] Linkovitch has a Jag CD repair guide online here. Linkovitch JagCD guide. Where has Linkovitch been lately? Has he been around? I haven't seen anything from him in a while.
  4. Have you tried programs like Spinrite? Have you tried swapping out the motor or electronics to possibly eliminate/avoid the overheating?
  5. I don't really think Battlemorph was all that great a game. People keep saying that they think so much more work and effort was put into it. I don't see that. It seems to me like they just used the same engine with a little different graphics and some new enemies. It was easier to beat than Cybermorph. I was disappointed in Battlemorph. It seems like they didn't even really try. Although folks like Oppressor and such think Battlemorph is a great game and I respect their opinion I just don't see where theysupposedly put all this new work into Battlemorph or that its that much better than Cybermorph.
  6. Lars, can you explain to me or point me in the direction of the thread that explained what exactly happened with your HD crash and losing the Star Alliance code?
  7. This just occurred to me. We haven't had a good Scrummy post in a while. Damn, now where could Scrummy have gone off to? You around Scrummy???? Hope you're ok bud. We really oughta make a sticky thread titled "The best of Scrummy..." and put all his greatest hits on there.
  8. Their a slice of videogame history. And their cool. I paid that price for mine new. So quit your snibblin' and go buy one. Oh and fix your sig. Something went awry.
  9. Lars, don't forget to make a backup of your HD files.
  10. Yeah, I guess you gotta be careful with the translating huh? Might end up with a "All your bases are now ours!!!" phenomenon.
  11. Don't tell me this company knows about SpaceWar and doesn't know about BattleSphere. I find that hard to believe.
  12. Thunderbird it seems has already fixed/replaced the faulty networking code in Doom and it sounds like he MAY be seriously working on it in his free time.

    Pinball

I agree with you 100% there Mr Stone, IMHO ruiner is a much better pinball experience the whole production just feels slicker. Wacky brits.
  14. Starcat, I understand where you are coming from and agree with you. @Gunstar. There are titles on the Jag I think stand out, but I think there should of been more of the same for the Jag. I know you love the Jag Gunstar, and I love it too. And as something I care for, I want the best for it and I think StarCat has got basically the right idea as far as the mindset for game development is concerned. I think a lot of titles on the Jag could of been way better than what they were and if Atari thought more along the lines of Starcats thoughts we would have a way better Jag library now than what it is. Maybe would of kept the company in the game for a while longer.
  15. Hey Gunstar, is there any chance you can digitize those articles and post them on here or on JSII?
  16. Protector. Well, If I owned Songbird, I'd say 'Buy them all, then buy backup copies!'
  17. Yeah any of the Populous games ported correctly would of been good. Also I think the SNES version of Jurassic Park would of been great ported properly to the Jag. Mortal Kombat. Road Blaster Checkered Flag. (This could of been very good, but unfortunately Rebellion decided to smoke crack while programming it.) Blue Lightning(At least some mild hallucinagens were taken during the development of the Jag conversion) Dracula the Undead. I know a couple of these have already been mentioned. I'm just concurring.
  18. When you talk to him again, tell him to pop his head up here or JSII to let us know he's ok.
  19. OK then, how far along in math did you get? Trig? Linear Algebra? Physics? Nosy people wanna know.
  20. Anyone seen the little guy around anywhere? Or hear from him lately?
  21. That's amazing StarCat. That really is. Man, that's an inspirational story. Are you good at math and stuff? I wish you the best of luck
  22. Eerievale! Eerievale! Here! Here! StarCat, did you say you actually learned to program while working on the Jaguar? You had no prior programming experience at all? I didn't know that. That's interesting. Can you elaborate, because I thought you were already an accomplished programmer when you started programming on the Jag.
  23. There were screenshots posted by somebody here previously, along with a write-up about it. I can't remember the details, I'll have to do a search. If it wasn't you, who released it, I'm not sure. You released a Rayman beta didn't you. The Tiny Toons is just a graphics demo I thought, you can just walk left and right, as I recall, it's not a game. Cheers, JustClaws. I remember reading in a mag, back in '94 (though I know the source is highly questionable to start with), a general report on Atari and the Jag and it was mentioned that Tiny Toons was being delade, even though it was close to complettion, becuase they weren't happy with it at all, and wanted to do a total re-write. If this is true, might there not be some early, early, alphas or betas of this first "attempt?" I remember seeing more than just those screen shots of the little demo that has since been released on the net. Like the screen shots on the back of the first Jaguar boxes, and in Jaguar pamphlets and such, like one with them on "star trek" transporters, and the one with the rocket on the launch pad, etc. none of that is in this other rom image/demo that is around. That mag wouldn't of happened to have been a Jag/Lynx fanzine called Wildcat, would it?
