I just got mine and so far works great. I hope I don't run into these issues and gave to track down a solder person

VladR and I were there for that. I've been trying to talk Faran(Marigul) and BJ West to come with him to the next one. However the 2020 PRGE has been cancelled. ☹️

Has this one been discussed yet? I don't see it listed here

I have Gears of War 1 that I bought for nostalgia of a friend of mine who passed away who used to love this game.
I cannot find the patches anywhere and I do not have access to the internet directly on the system. Can you play the game when I literally have to go into admin mode and turn the system clock back to pre 2009. Does anybody have this patch lying around I cannot find it anywhere on the internet.
Thank you for any help you can extend.

Yeah good for later generations but did little for the Jag.

So, the main games that keep me holding on to Ye Olde Jaguar, even as some games have aged very poorly, are the classics like AvsP and Tempest 2k. One day, I thought to myself something many of us have thought in the past: We need a port/remake of AvsP. Frankly, as flawed as the game is (think, super-low frame rate) it honestly is an amazing, complex, hard, it-doesn't-hold-your-hand classic game.
Well, as an avid Doom modder, I realized by using one of the modern Doom ports like ZDoom and GZDoom, which include very advanced scripting capabilities, one could possibly make something like a remake of AvsP. Not exact, for sure, as they are not the same engine, but something like it. For those in doubt, google Brutal Doom and watch a video or two, as every aspect of Doom has been changed, enhanced, scripted, and GORYfied to the extent the game is like new: Faster paced, harder, and certainly more violent and tactical.
This leads me to the question of graphics. Now, there are decent enough Aliens mods for Doom out there I can crib graphics from. But the best thing would be to use the original graphics. You see where this is going?
Now, my understanding is the Jag:
- Used no "sprites" in the way other systems did, as in having special sprites that one could easily pull from a cart.
- Compressed all its graphics with BPEG.
So the actual wall and floor textures are not available and you are manually screenshotting them?

Only have one now but I need to get another one. The one I have needs a tune-up. Red screens are causing weird behavior with save data

All of you football game fantatics, what do you think works well with this game and what could be done to make it better?

I keep getting clobbered

It may be the SD card in that one situation with Doom on K model Jags.

As soon as I press the button it just throws the ball

No crashing here. Maybe you're freaking it out with such a high score 😂

Someone said holding the button increases pass strength. Where's this option? As far as I can see when you hit the button it throws it. Not when you release it.

Exhibition is pre-season, correct?

The same applies to No Second Prize, which I played to death on the ST. The best looking texture mapped game, Skyhammer, has a low poly count and short draw distances. I think it's been pretty well established that acceptable 3D performance would have to be along the same lines of one of the existing showcase games for the Jag. What Supercross 3D proves in itself is that low poly counts simply aren't acceptable for racing games, so it serves as an adequate example.
IMO, racing games on the Jag are best served with superscaler sprites, a la Super Burnout. This game, as an example, is one I'd love to see done at some point:
This was also discussed before. Some thought the Jag would have trouble with the screen tilt. Others disagreed.

I think Songbird would remember the details of where this was shown at. I believe he was there. Eric Nofsinger demoing it on a real Jag at a convention in the early 2Ks?

Though I disagree with your example, using the lowest common denominator rather than either I.S. or the Dactyl Joust vid posted earlier. I have no idea why such a long standing member would start a brand new thread for something that is regurgitated every 6 months.

We don't know if there was game logic in Dactyl Joust or not. There might have been. The one Rider veers towards the player but seems like. It's got collision detection.

You're messing with 3D now? Cool.
How about G-shading?
I haven't had a chance to look at this. Skunk is packed up.
