  1. I've heard that the game save feature for the different games must be programmed for the specific save chip that is on that specific cartridge. For cartridges that have different style or model of save chips how will this be handled? Or has this already been touched on and I overlooked it?
  2. Lol that may not be what he meant. Or it might be. Not sure.
  3. Hope you had a Merry Christmas VladR. And everyone else also.
  4. Isn't he French? Don't they have socialized medicine? Is that what he's fighting against?
  5. The contestants come from around the world.
  6. It's available for download if you have a skunk
  7. Thats awesome swap! Keep going!
  8. Atari should have used more procedural texturing. Didn't even move in that direction.
  9. Hell even Eclipse as much as said they could surpass IS2. Plus that engine has that annoying warping on the left side that needed fixing.
  10. Wow. Though the Tetris contestants do could me from around the world.
  11. Talking down? Hmm.. They had deadlines, made said deadlines. Using the GPU. These facts are as clear as day. Your mountain analogy is flawed. When driving can you control when the mountains appear that you need? Using your analogy they were able to. If you can't move mountains then obviously you have more to learn. Then you'll be able to keep up with the big boys.
  12. Did you manage to make the trip from Greece?
  13. In what ways are these concepts above my head? Bugs or not reliable as a term is where they got to to make something like a GPU manager. I can't imagine anything more complicated. If they were not able to get things stable on what seems to be such a touchy operation working in such a small space...
  14. At some level the GPU must be reliable. Or so many accomplished coders wouldn't have favored it. They got to that level where it was reliable.
  15. And thank you for that. Though we sometimes disagree I always enjoy the tidbits of info you post from around the web.
  16. It's said time and time again though by accomplished professionals who worked on the Jag. It gets in the way of everything. -Scott Corley I find it odd that there are those who dismiss it and poo poo it without looking at why these pros keep saying this.
  17. VladR, you around? Here's pics of the space Paul had reserved for you at the PRGE I'm sure next year he'd do the same.
  18. He never really said in depth where the control ended but he wasn't even allowed to use his own internal DSP engine. Imagine that. Some of those questions are easy to answer IMO tho. Sounds samples, it's a cartridge. It's got all those images for animations stored etc. Not gonna leave much for sound. As for blocky, it's using scaled and rotated bitmaps. The character shirts, colors etc are all what the actual actors wore I believe.
  19. We talked about this a few years ago. Maybe in hindsight he thought different but I kinda agree that WMCJ has a bit more depth.
