  1. It occurred to me the Atari today jingle could be more problematic to alter. I thought maybe play the jingle backwards. Instead of a can of spinach how about a picture of the programmer? Have AI do something funny with it and convert it to a suitable format.
  2. Why strip? Can't you just change the graphic? Instead of Popeye punching the circular AA logo can't you just swap it our for a circular picture of something else? Anything else? Change relevant text strings to something else. Would that work?
  3. It only plays up.to a certain point? Well that sucks. I wonder why Karri and others would even bother discussing this with BennVenn. Got my hopes all up. Someday ill have to get a Lynx GD then I guess..
  4. I think I'm misunderstanding you. I have an ECSD and EOTB seems to run fine. It just won't save.
  5. Are there future plans for El Cheapo to support game saves for EOTB? Hopefully?
  6. The shielding probably adds some sturdiness to the structure. I wish now I hadn't let Sal discard my 600XL shielding.
  7. Yes I understand that. But most people may not know who that is.They may think its just some guy who helped out not knowing its the creator. I diid not know who the creator was until that thread. I just watched a BCB vid today on this and he makes no mention of it. It may he because he had no idea who that was, or some other reason. Actually he mentions McNeil in the arcade game wiki briefly but never seems to notice it's relation to the name in the Atari game.Oops he does later on watching last half now. Also though it says Thanks to... It comes off kinda vague. It could mean to someone who even may know who that is what exact r what his role was. It could mean he said yeah port it I don't care. Or simply thanking him for creating the game in the first place. Though I haven't seen the packaging. or instructions. IMO the fact that he oversaw this version lends a lever of authenticity to it that's really awesome. I think more clarity on the title screen would have upped the cool factor.
  8. A suggestion. I wasn't aware of who was the original designer of Frenzy/Bezerk. So the thanks in the credits to him might be more impact ful if its explained in some way who he is for those who don't. Or perhaps also an in memorium.
  9. Hopefully Alien Brigade, Midnight Mutants and Xenophobe get a rerun.
  10. Are we just verifying everything is good with the latest run?
  11. You haven't played Popeye until you've played it in the original RF. Look how beautiful.
  12. Went and got Popeye, my last package. Its fantastic and brutally hard on arcade mode. Thanks @darryl1970!
  13. Perhaps. Perhaps not. They have Lynx VGA out mods that do this already.
  14. Just got my 7800 version of Popeye So I've been going through the different versions from 8 bit to 7800 to see the differences. This is a great hack! Thank you! The barrel or whatever it is you punch to.drop on Brutus/Bluto looks the best in this version while the 7800 has the edge in everything else. The 7800 spinach can looks better than the arcade version! And way harder than this version. What's the equivalent difficulty level for 7800 arcade on the 8bit? But this is quite a leap over the stock game. Thanks again!
  15. Part of the reason that Jag has too small a user base is because of the availability and price of units. I think now I'm not gonna speak in absolutes like everybody else but in my opinion I think that for it to work you need to be able to plug in cartridges like the 2600 plus does. You could knock out two birds with one stone by having a stand-alone Jag unit and like maybe I suggested earlier a cartridge that you plug Lynx carts into. That combines both those interest in the Jag and or Lynx.
  16. My last package landed last Friday at the Post office but they haven't delivered it yet. So I have to go there and raise hell.
  17. Mine is really good except for the snow.
  18. They would probably load the ones they have rights to onto a cart and just have the emulator run them that way.
  19. Yeah perhaps. Though Atari isn't directly doing it I would kinda look at how the 400 mini does also.
  20. Well Al probably ran out of out of dollar bills so he's been tipping them in 2600+ consoles and stuffing your carts in whatever skimpy thing it is they're wearing. Wade Rosen: Albert, what the hell happened to all our inventory? And who are those girls over there giggling and smacking each other on the ass? Albert: damn you Stephen...
