"Does nostalgia last 20 minutes"
are the Zelda CD-I games good?
Nostalgia to me lasts forever as i will never get bored with retro games. The pure simplicity and replay value of retro games is what gets me every time.If Nintendo were to make a remake of the Nes and sold it in stores with the original games in remade boxes,i would buy that before i buy a Wiiu or any other consoles, that's how much retro games and nostalgia mean to me.

So i just got a working Game.com from a thrift store for $2.42 on Thursday
(Sweet right?),and when i fired it up,everything was in working order. On Friday and earlier today while i was playing Duke nukem 3D and Lights out(it came with It) everything was still in working order. Now earlier today around an hour to an hour 35 minutes ago i was playing Duke Nukem and there was no signs of screen lines(or the coming of screen lines)and after playing it for about 10-15 minutes i turned it off. After turning it off, around 30 minutes later i put in on one of my easels(to display it)and when i turned it on,a screen line appeared. Is there a way to fix or what?.I can see if when i brought the Game.com,it had the screen line or after having it for months it developed the screen line but for me to have the Game.com for only 3 days and showing no signs of screen lines and after playing a game,30 minutes later it develops just is weird. -
I'm trying to think of a "blowing" joke that wouldn't violate decorum. Eh, you get the gist.

I don't have a NGX and you may say that i need one to have a say on this but Daytona USA,this is a system that was made in a bad way.It does get some things right with the thumb stick and the option to play on the big screen but should someone pay $200.00 for the system and no games other than the ones on the system already are available?(not one stinking game is available to buy). With others similar systems like the Dingoo and the Wiz/Cannoo,you can play games off of a SD card and not only can they play the same games the NGX does,it offers other consoles too and more bang for your buck.sure your not getting the thumb stick and the SNK quality but i would rather shell out $150 for a Cannoo/Wiz than a NGX.Also the fans are not hacking the NGX because they don't want to pay money for 10+ games,it's because there are no games you can buy/play other than the games on the system.
It's just logic,if i bought a system that had 20 games built in but a month later no new games or a date for new games, sooner or later i'm gonna get bored of the games and i'm gonna hack the system.I mean the games are already made(they are Neo Geo AES/MVS games) so how long does it take to put previously made games on a cart? There not making the games from scratch like Nintendo,Sony and Microsoft are doing(i hope)

I can't seem to do so.I have a few computer games(Age of empires,Chessmaster etc.),but i just can't collect them.for some reason they don't spark me enough to collect them like console and handheld games even though some are just as good,if not better.so do you collect computer games or not?

Here is my take for the week.
First a nice 3DO cache from eBay:

Next a thrift store find:

Not a bad weekend!

how much did it cost(if you don't mind me asking)?
-
I don't trust it also.I noticed alot of PS2 prices on the website is nowhere close to what they are listed for currently
-
This is obviously a joke but makes you wonder who actually does this.
Talk about running out of room.He has rare games like Chiller(Nes) in the box on the floor ready to get stepped on.Wonder how many games he has and how many games still work that are on the floor.

I read online somewhere that homebrews won't void your warranty since it's on your memory card,is that true?
-
don't know why i didn't add both
-
so i saw how people downloaded an app that lets you controll your computer on your PSvita and i wanted to do that but would that void my warranty if it breaks even if i delete it?(i know this question is sorta dumb)
-
I wouldn't consider them part of my collection.Maybe part of a Digital collection(that i don't associate with my collection) but not part of my physical Videogame collection
-
I like them both but don't think everybody likes Mario more. Mario was fine, but Sonic really lit my fire from the very 1st time I saw him.
Sonic's world/universe has always been more appealing to me. Not all the tacked-on friends, though. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik and his animal-powered robots are all it needs. I think that the only games where you can claim 'press right and its on auto-pilot' would be the GBA ones by Dimps. They are not all like that - maybe the first Green Hill level can be a simple dash to the end, but there have been hidden secret alcoves and alternate paths in Sonic games since the 1st one. Some of the newer 3D ones are more like 'hold forward and run fast on auto-pilot' - at times. I like what they did with Sonic Generations. I've been watching my 2 boys re-play Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 recently (GCN versions) and I was reminded of how much there is to do and overall how well done most of it is. Another long tradition with Sonic's games have been its Bonus Rounds. These were like games all their own in Sonic 1/2/3/Knuckles. Replaying the levels as super-powered Super Sonic is something else that is nice about the Sonic games.
Mario games are probably superior in design and creativity overall. The gameplay is slower - I usually grow bored before I finish any Mario game but that's just me. The sugar-coated Mario world isnt as appealing to me either.
Sonic generations i LOVE.who knew that a game with classic Sonic and modern Sonic could work.
-
I also enjoy both, but I'm voting Mario. I think, objectively speaking, there is a reason Mario games have been consistently popular for several decades while Sonic fizzled after a few years. Sonic games are basically holding Right while occasionally tapping jump. The illusion of speed disguises the fact that a lot of each level is auto-pilot. Mario games are a lot more exploration-based, and there's more strategy involved in defeating the enemies. Granted, neither game requires a degree in rocket science, but Mario game ARE just a bit deeper, and I think that depth has allowed the franchise to be renewed and refreshed year after year, whereas attempts to update Sonic for the 21st century have felt hollow.
Summary: I like Sonic Rush, but if you compare it to New Super Mario Bros., it's pretty clear which franchise stands the test of time.
Mario games are alot harder than Sonic games too.
-
I personally like both.Sonic games are much shorter whereas Mario games are ALOT longer than Sonic games(take New super mario bros and Sonic rush for example, the whole Sonic rush game is less than half of a Mario world).I like Sonic as the cooler character though.

*jaw drops*.Where and how the **** did you get/find this stuff. Also how much did you pay for it and does everything work?(if you don't mind me asking.

Listia,anyone have an account?

So Listia is basically like Ebay you sell your stuff, but when someone wins the auction, they get the item and you get how ever much points you wanted for the item.Than you can use the points to buy other things. Now i find this great for games because some games range from 50 points to 500(the cheaper games). As soon as i signed up some months ago,There was some Atari games, about 7 in all each had there own listing(nothing rare but fun games) for 50 points no bids.I forgot to bid on them and they went without a bidder(i think). That's a good deal,7 Atari 2600 games for 350 points seeing as you get 500 for signing up.You don't need a credit card to signup either so you can't get scammed(well not with money anyway).Good website or not?.You also get 500 points for posting your first item and for inviting friends.also If anyone wants to friend request me on Facebook so i can invite you and both of us get 500 points PM me.
