I am 15 and i don't hate any console i like them all even the worst(Action max Game.com etc.and Everybody i know dont even give Retro games a look
-
I was looking for a Mario wallpaper for my computer and i came across this. apparently the person who made it made it with higher definition graphics.the graphics are beautiful(Bullet Bill has the background reflecting off his body everything looks so hevenlike. So could a Mario game look like this,I don't mean for Nintendo to change all mario games to look like this but make 1-3 Mario games like this(if the first one Preforms well and runs smoothly).

Got Guitar Hero(PS2) for $2 and a GBC game(no label and turned out to be Powerpuff girls) for 99 cents.
-
Yes it is a really great console and you shouldn't hesitate to get one.i got one with the Turbobooster and 4 games fir $10 and LOVE it. there are great games like Galaga '90,Dungeon explorer,Blazing lasers, Neutopia(if you care for a good Zelda clone),Splatterhouse, plus with the expensive Turbo CD, best retro waste of time(the good kind) you'll ever have!
-
Got a Genesis model 2 with the 32X and 32X connector for $6.06 at a thrift store.i already had a model 2 and 1 but it came with the 32X and connector(which i didn't have)so overall great deal.i also got a Xbox 360 Afterglow controller for $1 too. one thumb stick rubber was off and the end of the controller cord(it is wired) it didn't have the end piece but i can easily go to play n trade or go on Ebay and get the piece for cheap.
-
Got a Virtual boy with no stand,1 controller and 1 game(Mario tennis) for $4.i also got a boxed Microvision game(bowling) game with Sea battle under it for $1.87.and is goodwill supposed to be high because when i go to them they have consoles and controllers for high prices. They had a complete PS1(controllers,cords,) for $25,at another thrift store i go to a PS1 is like $4-5 and games are $5,at other thrift stores there like $2-3. Im in GA. by the way so is it my Goodwill's in my state or what?

When i say failure,i mean nobody brought the Damn thing, and you were the only one with it after 2 years.and the Dreamcast,Lynx,Master system,Jaguar(sorta),Saturn, etc. And maybe i should change it from "failure" to "underrated",it sounds more efficient.

Here are my top 3
1Neo Geo AES:the Neo geo AES was a console that truly brung the arcade experience to your home. The Neo geo had ports of popular SNK games and unlike the Snes or genesis, these ports were 99% if not 100% the SAME game, same graphics, sound, speed everything and some games like King of the monsters demonstrated the Neo Geo's ability to produce graphic detail that matched or surpassed contemporary arcade games from the period Now this came with a price, the system was launched with a hefty price tag of $650.00,and parents didnt care if it had "arcade quality graphics"they went for the way cheaper Snes or Genesis.
2.Turbografx-16:In japan the Famicon was the dominating system and no other system could compete with it except the PC engine. When the PC-engine came out,it got popular quickly, when it came out in the US as the Turbografx-16 no one gave a F**k.in japan the PC engine got better games(Castlevania rhondo of blood) but we got a good amount of good games(Galaga '90,Neutopia,Dungeon Explorer etc)and when the Super Famicon and Megadrive was released, because of the Turboduo,Supergrafx,it lasted a good amount of time before dying out,in the US it died as soon as the Snes Genesis hit the market.
3.Neo geo pocket color; The Neo geo pocket color seemed to be the Gameboy color killer.it had better graphics,a system menu, batteries that last forever(2 AA last 40 hours compared to the Gameboy color's 2AA 13-14 hours)and a clicky analog stick that destroys the Gameboy color's lame D-pad,but just like the Gamegear(which seemed to be the Gameboy killer)it failed selling less than 3 million units while the GBC went on to sell it's millions (and that's with the Neo geo pocket sales, the black and white version).now it had amazing games like Sonic the hedgehog pocket adventure,SNK vs.Capcom match of the millennium, card fighters clash,Faselei! and more.
Others i would have picked is the Gamegear(one of my first handhelds and is one of my personal favorites) and the Wondersan crystal,a really good but underrated system.so what's your's?

like just out of nowhere, you got the urge to play it and have been playing recently.Mine is the Gameboy advance and Pokemon. After my Pokemon Ruby got stolen,i subsequently lost touch in Pokemon.that was about 5 years ago.Just got a arctic white Gameboy advance(My DS charger broke) for $2,put in my Pokemon firered and have been playing that recently.
-
the Dreamcast is about 15 going on 16 years if that's not retro what is.the PS2,GC,Xbox is not retro but the PS1,N64, Saturn retro
-
Wii and New super mario bros.wii(can never get bored of this game)
DS and Atari greatest hits vol 1 or 2(not necessarily cheating because its one game)
-
So i have about 40 PS1 games and rising(not as fast as i want it to) and some/most of them have the cases but either have a crack on the top or the back of the case.so is there anywhere where i can buy replacement cases for my PS1 games?and another thing,if i have this rare game but it's in a case that's not the original case(a standard generic case)would that decrease the value?
-
Yes it is an overall good game but it can be frustrating at times.the graphics are good and colorful and using FLUDD(the water hose)to travel and defeat enemies is something you would have never thought to be good.so its great!

Very nice collection! in fact is a very cool ideal to put your collection in a closet.might put mine in there too!sorry for double post.

I find most flea markets to be pretty fair, if they have any game stuff at all. I just have a hard time finding anything I need. Like a lot of guys, I have two price ranges. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for something I want to get for my personal collection. Otherwise, if it's something I think I can sell, I'll only buy it if it's super cheap and can make a good profit.
it would be stupid if someone bought one of those "high priced" systems that DaytonaUSA and Mendon talked about and it dosent work and you can't take it back.
-
what Turbob games did you get?
8$ is the steal of the century right there.
I saw someone charging 50$ for a loose NES Zelda (because it was GOLD!!11)
I went to another table, found 3 of them for 1$ each.
I went back and said "Hey will you take these 3 Zeldas for everything you've got here? These fuckers are worth 150$!"
Said fleamarketeer was fairly pissed. I bought Dungeon Magic and 8 Eyes off of him for around 5$ total.
I still have all the spare zelda carts, lol
I got Keith courage in alpha zones,Dungeon explorer,Galaga 90,and Alien crush.the Turbobooster and system aswell as the games work like a charm!
-
I hate it when i go to Flea markets and they really overcharge!i went to one and i asked how much for the black GBC and he said $40,there barely worth 10 but 40 are you on drugs.then a Xbox with cords and 1 controller for $50.$40 for a black Gamegear with about 5 games and the games were crappy as hell!.now there are some good sellers.one person had a modded Saturn for $15,a Turbografx-16,Turbobooster and 4 games for $8(which i got).a Atari 2600 Jr with 9 games,2 joystick controllers,1 paddle controller and Video touchpad for $10(i got).so what are some outrageous prices at Flea markets, thrift stores and yard sales?
