  1. Here are my top 3 1Neo Geo AES:the Neo geo AES was a console that truly brung the arcade experience to your home. The Neo geo had ports of popular SNK games and unlike the Snes or genesis, these ports were 99% if not 100% the SAME game, same graphics, sound, speed everything and some games like King of the monsters demonstrated the Neo Geo's ability to produce graphic detail that matched or surpassed contemporary arcade games from the period Now this came with a price, the system was launched with a hefty price tag of $650.00,and parents didnt care if it had "arcade quality graphics"they went for the way cheaper Snes or Genesis. 2.Turbografx-16:In japan the Famicon was the dominating system and no other system could compete with it except the PC engine. When the PC-engine came out,it got popular quickly, when it came out in the US as the Turbografx-16 no one gave a F**k.in japan the PC engine got better games(Castlevania rhondo of blood) but we got a good amount of good games(Galaga '90,Neutopia,Dungeon Explorer etc)and when the Super Famicon and Megadrive was released, because of the Turboduo,Supergrafx,it lasted a good amount of time before dying out,in the US it died as soon as the Snes Genesis hit the market. 3.Neo geo pocket color; The Neo geo pocket color seemed to be the Gameboy color killer.it had better graphics,a system menu, batteries that last forever(2 AA last 40 hours compared to the Gameboy color's 2AA 13-14 hours)and a clicky analog stick that destroys the Gameboy color's lame D-pad,but just like the Gamegear(which seemed to be the Gameboy killer)it failed selling less than 3 million units while the GBC went on to sell it's millions (and that's with the Neo geo pocket sales, the black and white version).now it had amazing games like Sonic the hedgehog pocket adventure,SNK vs.Capcom match of the millennium, card fighters clash,Faselei! and more. Others i would have picked is the Gamegear(one of my first handhelds and is one of my personal favorites) and the Wondersan crystal,a really good but underrated system.so what's your's?
  2. like just out of nowhere, you got the urge to play it and have been playing recently.Mine is the Gameboy advance and Pokemon. After my Pokemon Ruby got stolen,i subsequently lost touch in Pokemon.that was about 5 years ago.Just got a arctic white Gameboy advance(My DS charger broke) for $2,put in my Pokemon firered and have been playing that recently.
  3. the Dreamcast is about 15 going on 16 years if that's not retro what is.the PS2,GC,Xbox is not retro but the PS1,N64, Saturn retro
  4. Wii and New super mario bros.wii(can never get bored of this game) DS and Atari greatest hits vol 1 or 2(not necessarily cheating because its one game)
  5. So i have about 40 PS1 games and rising(not as fast as i want it to) and some/most of them have the cases but either have a crack on the top or the back of the case.so is there anywhere where i can buy replacement cases for my PS1 games?and another thing,if i have this rare game but it's in a case that's not the original case(a standard generic case)would that decrease the value?
  6. Yes it is an overall good game but it can be frustrating at times.the graphics are good and colorful and using FLUDD(the water hose)to travel and defeat enemies is something you would have never thought to be good.so its great!
  7. Very nice collection! in fact is a very cool ideal to put your collection in a closet.might put mine in there too!sorry for double post.
  8. it would be stupid if someone bought one of those "high priced" systems that DaytonaUSA and Mendon talked about and it dosent work and you can't take it back.
  9. I got Keith courage in alpha zones,Dungeon explorer,Galaga 90,and Alien crush.the Turbobooster and system aswell as the games work like a charm!
  10. I hate it when i go to Flea markets and they really overcharge!i went to one and i asked how much for the black GBC and he said $40,there barely worth 10 but 40 are you on drugs.then a Xbox with cords and 1 controller for $50.$40 for a black Gamegear with about 5 games and the games were crappy as hell!.now there are some good sellers.one person had a modded Saturn for $15,a Turbografx-16,Turbobooster and 4 games for $8(which i got).a Atari 2600 Jr with 9 games,2 joystick controllers,1 paddle controller and Video touchpad for $10(i got).so what are some outrageous prices at Flea markets, thrift stores and yard sales?
  11. I heard someone on another website opened there's up and tighten a orange screw or something.so is it the CD spin thing that's broken or what?
  12. I tried it using the part of the PS2 cord that fits the back of the Saturn.
  13. I got a Sega Saturn yesterday in great shape for $6.06,only thing is,the system dosent spin the games when i turn on the system with lid closed.and Super mario sunshine a week back for $3.00,Super smash bros. melee and F-zero GX for $2.
  14. i got a Sega Saturn for $6.06 from a thrift store yesterday but when i plugged in ac adapter(not official Saturn adapter)and i noticed that the game did not spin at all.i moved the lens piece from the front to the back and closed the lid and when i opened it back, the piece moved back to the front so it cant be broke.the access light is flashing red and because i dont have the AV cords i cant see what's going on on the screen.the power light does not blink,it stays green.so what up?
  15. There is a Ebay auction here:eBay Auction -- Item Number: 140735379187.It's 4 Gameboy color's and 4 Gameboy advances for $66.00 and $10.95 shipping and 22 bids.and not only that the yellow and green GBC's don't work and none come with games so what's so special?
  16. Im 15 and im probably the youngest collector on here.most people start collecting at around 20+,but i started at 13 because i LOVE retro systems!.so heres my collection. here's what i payed for my systems.$10 for the Atari 2600 JR,$8 for the Turbografx-16,Nes from cousin free,$3.93 for the Genesis 1,$2 for Genesis 2,Playstation 1 free,$8 for the N64,$5 for the Dreamcast,PS2 free,$2.50 for the GameCube,$3 for the Xbox,$5 for the Gameboy,$1 for Gameboy pocket,$1 for the other Gameboy pocket,$10 for the purple GBC,$8 for green GBC,$1 for LE gold/silver Pokemon GBC,$1 for other green GBC,blue Gamegear free, black $6 for black Gamegear,Gameboy Advance SP for free.so what do you think of my collection?I have about 235 games so far.Im not a serious collector although i want to
  17. Well im not one of them.im 15 and i LOVE retro games and systems like the Nes,Genesis,2600,Playstation,Master system,Gameboy,Gamegear,Lynx etc. Actually i like retro system and games more than modern games.I had fond memories of my Nes.My cousin gave me her Nes with 15 games and i loved it.remember playing Super Mario bros.3 with my sister on the Mario bros. arcade stage.remembers having to blow in the Nes carts too, great memories

  19. I found a beta Game.com emulator that runs and can be found at http://depositfiles.com/files/rfk05p8nu.It has a special way of loading roms though. Here's how to load them:-In "Game.com emulator" folder, open the exe -go to "Open Disasm window" -in the " disassemble window" click on "File" "Load Bin file"(game you wanna play) -in the "address??",leave it at zero in the "disassemble window",click on "File" "Load kernal" "Full kernal" -in the "disassemble window" click on the "Run" button. Games come with the emulator so you don't have to go looking for games. This emulator is nice and im wondering why we didn't get one sooner because after all,it wasn't even as powerful as the Gameboy and they had the technology to do so.but anyway good emulator!
  20. I got my Videogame Collection for basically little money! I got a Atari 2600 Jr. with 2 Joystick controllers,1 Paddle controller and 9 games. i got a Genesis today system only at a thrift store for $3.95 a N64,Jump pak,and ac adaptor for $10.00.I got Pokemon snap,Super mario 64,Biofreaks,a Transfer pak,and a transparent green N64 controller i got at a house i was cleaning with my dad. a Turbografx-16,Turbo Booster, one controller and 4 games for $8.00 a PSone for free(dad found one for me)i have about 23-27 games. 21. Dragonstomper, I am on my Wii internet channel because my IBM Laptop is getting repairs on so i can't post any pics and i probably don't have the box nor do i even remember it(got it mixed up with another box) but i guarantee you that i have the game.
  22. I have a Atari 2600 Combat 2 Prototype. This is not the version that was reproduced and sold Illegally in 2004(i think, cant recall the year)this is the one of the games that were planned to be released by Atari but didnt. the game is also 100% complete and not half done and is in new condition.how much would this game be worth?after all this is the only one found.(i think)i also might have the box but i have to check!
  23. This game is epic! it has 41 Atari 2600 games and 9 arcade games. Atari 2600 games;Backgammon,Basic Programming,Blackjack,Brain Games,Breakout,Canyon Bomber,Casino,Circus Atari,Codebreaker,Combat,Combat Two(Prototype),Concentration, Crystal Castles,Deamons to diamonds,Desert Falcon,Double Dunk,Fatal Run,Golf,Maze Craze,Millipede,Night Driver,Off the wall,Quadrun,Radar Lock,Realsports Basketball(Prototype),Realsports Soccer,Return to haunted house(Homebrew),Secret Quest,Sentinel,Space War,Star Raiders,Steeplechase,Street Racer,Super Baseball,Super Breakout,Super Football,Video Chess,Video Olympics,Video Pinball,Warlords Arcade games;Astroids Deluxe,Black Widow,Crystal Castles,Liberator,Major Havoc,Millipede,Red Baron,Super Breakout,Warloards. Now the people who made this game could have stopped and left it at this play these games and nothing else but they did MORE.when you are searching through the games they are divided in catagories; All genres, adventure, arcade at home(atari's arcade games on the 2600),gambling,mind games, racing, space and sports. While your browsing through the games there's the Cartridge of the game on the left side as well as a discription of the game.it's good so you can see the cartridge art because deciding which game to play just by the description is not possible because some games you pick by cover art and not discription.some of the Atari 2600 games use the touch screen for control but like all the games, you can use the D-pad for control, and all the games that use the Stylus you just move the Stylus left and right to move your character left or right. some games like Star Raiders, the touch screen resembles the Video Touch Pad with all the features it had.The Basic Programming game has the Keyboard Controller. Remember the Atari 2600 Heavy sixer where you had to flip the switches to change the difficulty and to select a game?well on the touch screen is those 6 switches you know and love and is not just for looks,it does just what they did on the heavy sixer with the stylus spin on them.i should note that if your right handed(i am too),the stylus control on the games are hard, for instance,Night Driver uses the Touch screen to move and like most of the games, the a button to drive.if your right handed, you use your left hand to hold the DS and the right hand to hold the Stylus but what,no hand free to press the a button.some games like Red Baron says you can use the L shoulder button to fire but when you click it,nothing happens.better get use to using your left hand for games or use the D-pad for games like i do.The Arcade games have a better Stylus support. You can have the game on the top screen and have a Simulated Trakball,Spinner,Flight Stick,or Slider just like they did on the actuall arcade machine but dont move like they did on the real thing. The Trakball especially moves very smoothly and you can tell on the screen. It actually moves as smoothly as it does on the real thing as far as i know. The Trakball when you move it the character on screen has that roll on it. and the Spinner has that you gotta keep the Spinner moving to keep the that effect feeling.you can edit the Arcade games stuff like change how many ball you have, how many points you need for a level up and you can even put Super Breakout in Vector graphics The multiplayer is cool because you only need one game and up to 4 players can play.some games like Combat was only 2 players so if you play it by yourself your controlling both characters at the same time. This game has a TON of extras!in the extras section it has various 30 to 50 second Interviews of Nolon Bushnell the creater of Atari from Failed products to the brand legacy.it's intresting interviews but nothing special. You have a arcade gallery where you can see pictures and Arcade flyers of the 9 Arcade machines. cool feature but the flyers print is so small you wish that gave you an option to zoom in.They added the Original manuals to each of the games so if you need to know how to play a game or just want to look at them there here.and with Basic Programming, without the manuals you would be lost.it even comes with the Original Atari 2600 manual which has no use in this game but goes to show how much extra they put in this game. Here's something that you would never thought would be in this game,a Atari 400 BASIC emulator!.it was one of Atari's first computers 30 years ago.I dont know how to use it but you long time Atari enthusiasts will know how Pros .41 2600 games 9 arcade games .Full Touch Screen support .loads of replay value .LOTS of extras .Atari 400 BASIC emulator exact 2600 graphics Cons .some games are bad(about . Touch screen supported games not good for right hand players i feel that some games suck BADLY(about 5 of them) and they could had been replaced by better ones(couldnt been lisenced because they cant get liscened games on here)and even the good ones could have been replaced by better ones but whatever.they have some 2600 games that are basically ports of Atari's arcade games on the 2600 like Crystal castles,Millipede, and Warlords.if you have the Arcade versions of it why would you wanna play the 2600 version of it with horrible sound,5x worse graphics, and okay gameplay?(Warlords 2600 is pretty good)(Crystal castles for 2600 look awful) but im guessing there saying well play both youll like both or see how bad the 2600 version looks compared to the Arcade version? I give this game a 9/10,4 stars,90%. this game has exact Atari 2600 graphics so exact the faint lines you see when you hit the ball on pong is there! if your an avid atari game get this game,if your not avid get this game.I got a Atari 2600 JR.for collection purposes and didnt really care for atari or the 2600.i actually only got this game because it said "make your own games"but once i got it i forgot about making my own games(its hard to with the Basic Programming capability) and i Love the 2600 and Atari for now on!
