  1. I have 3 of these beasts. I repaired one MSD SD-2 that had a capacitor meltdown in one drive. I replaced the drive with a TEC FB-501 purchased on ebay, The one I received on ebay was permanently solder jumpered where the MSD's selectible jumpers were (correct?) so I removed the wires from the pads - placed removable jumpers there and reconfigured it like the stock one and it works like a champ. I saw no obvious physical difference in the two drives other than the jumper area. It has been a while since i fixed it so hopefully my memory is correct. Whatever I did - the jumpers were the only thing at issue. I also have a few more extra FB-501's that I got for a steal - they pop up on ebay from time to time but they are pretty rare at this point it seems. Hope that helps.
  2. I came across an odd piece tucked in one of my old books - it is a black plastic full keyboard overlay that is used for the original CHESS cartridge on the original TI-99/4 computer with the square chicklet keys - may have only been made in 1979 but don't quote me on that. A good example of it can be seen here: http://www.ti994.com/1979/cartridges/ I'll get a picture up on here soon. I am not sure if I could call this RARE, but I do not see these come up for sale on ebay often with the cartridges. Anyways, always looking to trade for Commodore, or TI, or COCO, or ADAM, or Atari, or timex sinclair stuff. Let me know if there is any interest.
  3. Sent some stuff as free with no expectations to wood_jl, he surprised me by reimbursing me shipping/hassle money unasked for - real decent guy!
  4. Just completed a trade with atariluvr77 and everything went great - good guy to do business with.
  5. Heavy sixer traded off... Removing the rest due to lack of interest. Put this thread to bed.
  6. Hey anybody who has traded with me or who I have freebied things to please leave your comments if you would be so kind...
  7. I tested it with a generic RCA cable, a generic power supply, and moved the broken power switch with a pen... I played it for 1/2 hour testing multiple carts and both joy ports. For someone who has these extra parts laying around, the parts that I detail WORK PERFECTLY.
  8. OK, so here are the pics... Also I have a King's Quest book, a Commodore Kickman cart, and a 2600 Star Raiders controller.
  9. EPSON manual is gone... Anyone else for the STAR stuff?
  10. I have this stack of very nice printer user's manuals that I hate to toss because they are in great shape. If anybody wants these I will ship them to you FREE! EPSON: RX-80 STAR: NX-1000, NX-1000C, NX-1000 RAINBOW, NX-2400
  11. I have some stuff sitting around in my garage, all of these things are tested working perfectly. Noted if missing parts or accessories: I'll get pictures up soon. Atari Flashback 2 w/manual - looks new works perfectly but no power supply, no joysticks Several Atari 2600's, 4 switchers, light sixer - no power supplies Atari 2600 heavy sixer - works perfectly but needs a video cable and the power switch post is busted off (switch itself is functional however). Coleco ADAM software bundle: Smart LOGO, Smart Filer - both have all the packaging and manuals etc., tested working. Coleco ADAM small stack of user manuals, SmartBASIC manuals, SmartWriter manuals - look brand new. If any interest lets work a trade deal, as always I collect: Commodore, Atari 8-bit, Timex-Sinclair, TI-99/4A, Coleco Adam, TRS-80 Color Computer - Don't collect Atari 2600 stuff per se. Commodore 1531 would be great, Coleco ADAM disk Manager software, SmartBASIC tape or disk, Carts... let me know what you have - I'm in Washington State.
  12. Just did a trade, very very happy all the way around.

  14. I have been going through a bunch of old Atari boxes... I have found around 20 "Atari Program Exchange" 5 1/4" floppy disks along with binders full of corresponding documentation. The stuff looks like it was locked away in a time vault.. pristine shape. Any interest for this type of stuff in the Atari community? Thanks, Mike
  15. Finally got around to locating a power supply and the stunt cycle is up on Ebay if anybody is interested... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 251042067335
  16. I can't let the stunt cycle go until I establish whether it is working or not. I don't like selling/trading things that I am unsure about. Thanks, I will try to find a 2600 power supply first. I also have something free - it is a SPECTRAVISION NEXAR cartridge instruction manual. If somebody wants it, leave your address and I will mail it to you. It isn't pristine but it isn't bad. I will just toss it if nobody wants it.
  17. Pictures, yes... anybody who is interested in a particular item I will happily snap tons of pictures. But I literally have so many of these packed away that I am not going to take pictures of all of it without some expression of interest. The CMD's and MSD are not for sale, but just shown or fun (because you made me get the camera out ) Here are of few of the items listed that I have out though... References? Not really, but I am honest to a flaw and I am sure a phone chat would convince you of that. I have done many deals and never a single complaint.
  18. I have a few extra clean fully working Atari 800's (old style), an extra 400, and at least one 810. A couple of TI-99/4a's. A couple of VICs. Have a ton of 1541's (alps type). I also stumbled upon a perfectly working clean super-white Apple IIc (I don't collect Apples). I have an Atari "Stunt Cycle" but I don't have the power supply to test it yet (help? Will a 2600 power supply work?). Everything I trade has been tested fully working and cleaned. I don't trade junk. I am looking to trade for different types of Commodore, Atari, TRS-80 CoCo, TI-99/4a, Coleco Adam, Timex Sinclair stuff. I have most common stuff, so I am looking for off the wall things. I'd really like to get a Commodore 1531 and a Commodore DPS-1101 for example... A TI-99 acoustic modem... third party Commodore disk drives... Atari peripherals... Coleco disk drive... stuff like that. I'll entertain non-working items as long as they are cosmetically clean. Hopefully could just each work a deal and each pays the shipping. I'm in Washington State and definitely need you to be in the continental United States for this to work out for both of us. Thanks, Mike
