  1. Hmm not entirely true. The Atari 1090 was a very noteworthy project/device-to-be. Unfortunately it did not get finished. I am not too depressed about no atari branded equipment (except for the 1064) for the PBI. I loved my BlackBox and other people probably loved their MIO. I wished the IDE+ had a button that would show a menu, just like the BlackBox where the user could mount/unmount partitions on-the-fly. I am a huge fan of IDE+, but this is one of the features I miss most. The only harddisk solution these days that has this feature is MyIDE in combination with MyBIOS. You can jump into the MyBIOS menu during the operation of almost any program. It's a killer feature.
  2. If you are serious about memory upgrades, do *not* go for a DRAM, TTL based solution like RAMBO or other types like that. They are (compared to the other available solutions) not as reliable as you want. Especially not when you have plans adding harddisk or other stuff to your atari.
  3. Haha someone is dreaming aloud about Crossbow as 4th round in the HSC......
  4. Perhaps @Stephen J. Carden knows more? Does the bug also occur on Real.dos? Could you post an example test file?
  5. Here I was the lucky bastard with pneumonia. All the best wishes for you and your family.
  6. Tbh I find the hsc cooler with simply one game, one goal per round. You might consider shorter rounds. But that is my opinion of course. Great score you got there btw!!!
  7. Hahahaha definitely not forever. Excellent! And yes that thing at MULE... is always out of my reach. Wasn't the name WAMPUS though?
  8. Yes I mentioned the bug earlier. This can happen when one of the enemies changes into an eater /digger and reaches the bottom of the screen. That one time when I got over 200k points I had a bug going on too so I did no longer dare to get a bonus life otherwise the game would have crashed. Restarting the game does indeed not solve the issue. I am not sure whether all the distributions of Mr. Do! Have this bug / these bugs. Need a fix!
  9. I have very fond memories of panther. This was a great tool, and also supported Atascii graphics IIRC. http://atarionline.pl/v01/index.php?ct=utils&sub=1. Biuro&tg=Panther#Panther It was also compatible with SpartaDos disk version.
  10. Diamonds This is such a moment I can throw my Atari out of the window. First time I got the diamond I was so obsessed by completing the level I at the last cherry before I realized there was the diamond. Ok... I missed that one. Second time I got the diamond I was so obsessed by getting the diamond that I died before I reached it. Third time I got the diamond I tried to stay alive that I was too late at the diamond and it disappeared just before I reached it. Are the diamonds pure luck/random or is there something I could do to change falling apples into diamonds? So far I did not manage to get a diamond and cash the points.
  11. This is AWESOME! Great drawing, and so accurate!
  12. There was also this game where you had to pick up blocks with a helicopter and bring then to your base. It had a split screen. Iirc it was called Protector but I might be wrong. It is a game though with a pretty steep learning curve (especially to get your helicopter exact above those blocks) so it might not be choice #1 on a meeting. But it is definitely extremely cool multiplayer game (2 players)
  13. As long as you do not go altering those blue components with the yellow screw in them. Except the one for drivespeed all others should be untouched forever unless you have a scope or something. I have learned this from @tf_hh. He also might be able to assist you in troubleshooting your drives.
  14. What I did not know till today is that you also can move apples even when there is no path yet in the direction you move. I always thought you had to dig a path first. Not true. This game is awesome. Hate the fact that I am seriously Ill right now. Have to sleep NOW but tomorrow I will play Mr. DO! Again!
  15. Arg there is a small bug in this game. You know when one if the enemies stands still too long it changes into an eater. So it can eat its way to you.... But when this eater is on the bottom of the screen it goes wrong. This time I had the word Scene eaten. Okay I thought let's play further (was doing a good job). But as soon as I managed to get an extra life with the EXTRA characters the game crashed completely arg. So beware of those eaters.
  16. I love Mr. Dig. Bought it as a kid on tape. Played it for years. Great game. But thanks to HSC I learned to appreciate Mr. Do! I think Mr. Do is more challenging and in the end cooler than Mr. Dig (sais a die-hard Mr. Dig fan).
  17. 94750 98850 128300 improved score (can not strike through on smartphone editor?) Could have been higher if I wasn't so greedy. Going to play some more!
  18. Haha brilliant. I hope I will get well soon.

  20. I love this game a lot. It is fun and extremely addictive. Unfortunately I have pneumonia so I will see when I can play...
  21. OMG When I saw that picture I thought it was some kind of art project. Cool 'snaky' colourful and black shapes. And now I see that they appear to be real. Grmbl.
