  1. Yeah, I'd say finish the last game. Whether it be a 5200 or 2600 version. I'd love to see it as a finished cartridge. If Atari is being boneheaded about it keep trying to convince then that the completion of the Airworld game would be in their best interests. They may want to profit off of it themselves perhaps with a Swordquest plug and play or something like that, but they would need all four games for something like that to happen. It's in the fans, and Atari's, best interests for Airworld to be finished. Keep trying with them.
  2. I live in Granville, OH and would like to get started on writing games. Sadly it's hard to get started by myself and I could use some help in making sure I have all the programs I need and that they are installed correctly. Is there any members of this board in the Central, OH area I can contact who can give me a hand?
  3. All I got was PK symbols shaped like a football post and a backwards P
  4. Got to the point where I downloaded 'my first kernel' and I got the pattern to appear on Stella. The page seemed to indicate putting in on your assembler DASM will reveal the lines of code in the kernel. I tried to bring it up on Crimson Editor but only got the same symbols over and over again. No lines of code. I haven't even tried to put it on Visual Batari Basic yet, and the DASM page does not turn up, so I can't download that. You can tell how green a rookie I am with this problem. Still I need help to see what next to do.
  5. And the message said 'Compressed (zipped) folders was unable to create the specified directory. Ensure that the directory does not already exist, and that the path entered is valid.' Was trying to open the folder in the Atari 2600 folder I have on my system.
  6. Files wouldn't extract. It said check to see that folder doesn't already exist.
  7. Main VbB file is in my Atari 2600 folder as is the sound file. Trying to determine how best to activate and open. Not saying anything is wrong with Crinison Editor yet, but it would be nice to have another writing option. Geek Squad gave me Google Chrome when I had a problem with Internet Explorer once.
  8. I downloaded Visual Batari Basic but I think I've been able to install Batari Basic onto Crimison Editor. I will be trying some of the 'Programs for Newbies' over the next few days to see if I got it right. If not.....I'll look to see what went wrong.
  9. Hi, I'm new to the scene. I just downloaded Batari Basic along with Crimson Editor as well as the Stella Enabler. Batari Basic is on my Samsung laptop, but I am having trouble getting it installed so it can run. I'm also wondering where it would actually run, or Crimison Editor or on Stella itself. This last statement shows my computer knowledge....which is probably not much....but willing to learn especially as I have game ideas I want to make reality. Can anyone give me some pointers?
  10. Yes, I would be interested. I'd like to be able to learn how to program a 2600, and maybe even make my own games.
