  1. I whole hartedly agree the feedback extortion is completely wrong and parts of the feedback system is wrong and still needs to be tweaked. From a buyer perspective this is what happened to me years ago and why i agree with some of ebays policy changes. A few years ago my BIOS crashed and i needed a replacement asap. I found somone on eBay and contacted him and we actually spoke on the phone before ordering. What called to verify was that he could flash a bios chip for me and ship it out that day "next day air" so i can have it by Friday. The seller says he can do it and the price for shipping is about $25 and i say ok. I do a buy it now and add the $25 shipping to a $3 part. (Hey my PC was down and i did not care.. you might understand) So what happens next is friday comes and goes and no delivery. I contact him over the weekend and he said he shiped it on thursday but tells me he sent it through the USPS express mail and states that after contacting te post office that express mail to my area express mail is 2 days to my area and not guaranteed. Needless to say it comes in on tuesday. You can imagin im not happy and down right pissed. We argue and i state that i wanted it by friday and asked for "Next day Air" not express mail service so i ask for a refund on shipping and basically he refuses (no i did not hold feedback hostage or even mention it on the call). So I decide to leave neutral feedback so what does that SOB do he leaves me neutral feedback in retaliation because he knew i wanted it Next day and i asked him for the price for that. if Fedex or UPS was more i would have paid it cause i did not care an I needed it by friday! We wined about it being out of his control when he should have used and quoted a shipping method that was actually "Next Day Air" like I asked and thought I was paying for. So thats my example on why the old system was flawed but agree still the new system needs to be tweaked. Im sure he felt justified in leaving me neutral feedback as retalitation and i cant think or a more valid reason for a buyer to leave a seller neutral feedback either. That was just pure eBay Seller abuse... Thats my $.02 and hope you guys dont think what I did was feedback extortion and the only bump on my ebay feedback.
  2. Guys, Thank you so much for posting and helping. Are you reading the code which is on the metalic/data part of the disk or the Serial number tipically etched/engraved on the plastic disk inner most part of the disk. I have been trying to take a photo of the codes on the disk so people would know the difference. but its so hard to read and does not photograph with my shity camera. The code should be the same unless the guys used mutiple spindles of CDs' when making it but even then if they were the same brand and purched is a close timeframe they are very likely to come from the same lot and still match. If by some chance that multiple brands or lots were used its likely to only be 2 at best for a small run of 50 disks and at most 3 for the run of 100. i bet lunch to anyone that we find that the was a single disk code for the special release and another for the standard release. The etched/engraved serial number would be unique. Looks like you guys posted the serial numbers not disk codes.
  3. That is a Taiyo Yuden type 1 CDR and lot from what i can tell was avaiable for sale between 2005-2006 so it matches the timeframe of the GORF release and could be real. The developer can confirm or if other people check theirs and it matches you can know for sure.
  4. The guy's ebay name is lucasmatthewprice and the item I purchased was Gorf. lucasmatthewprice claimed that twoquickcapri cancled his winning bid and asked him to make a copy for $100 and thats why he gave me an official second chance offer through eBay and in packaging it he mixed up the boxes and sent the copy to me and the real one to twoquickcapri. I just confirmed with twoquickcapri on JSII there there was no deal and this guy just decided to try to rip me off. Since twoquickcapri was the original buyer i know the seller tried to commit fraud and there is no mixup possible. He clearly stated when i directly confronted him the winning bidder renigged and only wanted a copy and he was selling the original it to me. I will be filing negative feedback with eBay and filing a police report for mail fraud. This guy lives im my state and only a few hours away I have half a mind to file the complaint with the local authorities in his town and press charges. But since that would be alot of effort and i knida lazy and i got a refund i just might drop it at the leaving negative eBay feedback. What do you guys think or whay would you do in that situation?
  5. Once I get a answer from the other buyer and verify if the sellers story is true or not I will share it out and post appropriate feedback on eBay as a warning.
  6. What they would gain is having a way to prove to any future potential buyer if they resell it that it is authentic. If we dont share this information and validate it with the comunity people will eventually flood the market with counterfit copies and with no way to validate them they will all become worthless. Also this copy was not bought in good faith and resold with out knoledge of it being a fake. The seller claims he made a copy for somone else and he somehow mixed them up and I got the copy and he got the original. I have identified the other buyer of the "Copy" on JSII and once he responds we will find out if the seller's story is true or maybe he just attempted to defraud both of us.
  7. So nobody owns a Gorf and is willing to take pictures of the inside of the Case read the numbers off the bottom of the CD?
  8. That does not really help and i have looked at it many times. What I want is the numbers of the bottom of the CD and a photo of inside the plastic case. With those items items we can tell a fake from a real one. All the Gorf that were made should have plastic cases with identical inernal markings. (Special edition: white, Standard: Blue) and the disk code should match for all the special editions and the standard edition ones. (There may be 1 code for special and a different one for standard but each edition should have concistant codes). If we just document those things then nobody can counterfit one again.
  9. I have confirmed the copy to be fake and the person i purchased it from admitted to it and refunded the money. The Numbers on the CD is: RFD80M-79246 80 The numbers etched on the plastic inner ring: TGC108293801E16 If you look at the photos closely you see that the cover is too small and does not fit in the case correctly. You see that the manual is too small too. On the CD you see that the image is not round and has a printed CD edge on the CD. Also on the close up of the manual you can see that it has a "Printed on fold line" in addition to the real fold line The printing is also dull and the manual is not that legible Inside the CD case is missing the same markings that the originals seem to have. Since I am looking to buy a legitimate copy of this game it would be useful if someone could still post some pic of a legitimate copy and post the numbers/words/etc that you see on the bottom of the disk. Maybe for games like GORF that are susceptible to being forged we should produce an official guide so we can spot fakes or not. Maybe something like http://www.superpcenginegrafx.net/sapcomp1.html (this is a guide people made to identify counterfeit Sapphire for the PC Engine) On that game someone actually glass mastered fakes so they could be passed off easier. So please post photos, CD-Codes, so that we can identify the real deal from fakes.
  10. Here is the Photos of the counterfeit Gorf CD. So be careful. http://www.flickr.com/photos/74422333@N03/sets/72157628886865105/
  11. Thanks for the link. But i need the numbers off the Cd on the bottom to verify that's it's a legitimate copy. I think i have a fake not the original.
  12. Guys, I need your help to identify it a a valid or counterfeit. Can someone who owns a GORF standard edition take some photos of the disk and post them here. I know GORF is a CD-R but can you also post the numbers or CD code from the bottom of the disk? Thanks,
  13. Please let me know when you are going to list them. Also PLEASE allow for gaps in the end time between auctions. It makes it difficult for us to bid on multiple items and WIN if all the auctions end in > 20 seconds of each other. Please when creating the auctions set the start time at least 5 minutes apart or wait 5 min before submitting the next auction so that there is time to jump from your last auction to the next.
