Hello All Managed to get back to my 8 bit stuff eventually I bought a new XL/XE 5v 2A PSU from ebay, connected to one of my 800xl and the unit will not switch on via the switch on the 800 (The 5v PSU is a Linksys from a Cisco switch - so quality shouldn't be an issue?) The only way I seem to be able to get this to work is to leave the switch on and then plug in the PSU, this powers up the 800 fine As soon as I revert to the switch, I doesn't come back on Would people recon this a switch issue? I don't understand though that if I leave the switch on its ok, resistance on the Switch or bad PSU? Please advise

Yup im in for one of these as well when available We have a good electronics board manufacturer/installer near me we have used on some PIC boards we did for rail point controllers, if interested I can forward the details to you next week
