      The '80's is obviously 1980 to 1989. That is a 10 year span, which one could call a decade - but you could also call 1984-1993 a decade.

      So, we're not in the "tens" anymore... but we're still in the decade that includes 2011 to 2020 - the AD years start at 1 - the year before that was 1 BC, not 0. The first decade in AD was 1-10, not 0-9.

    Boeing made the decision to use only 1 sensor for MCAS. A marketing decision. Because using 2 sensors would have raised the importance of the system enough to have to recertify and require Level D training. Expensive simulator time. Further more, MCAS forces the nose down for 10 seconds, then allows 5 seconds for "recovery" before it starts again.

    But don't worry folks, big companies who have spent millions of dollars lobbying to be able to block, slowdown, or prioritize any web traffic, are assuring their customers that they do not intend to block, slowdown, or prioritize any web traffic. Also, the shark lobby says they don't intend to eat people even though they spent millions lobbying to have their mouths reclassified as sleeping bags.
