Lots of paddle games!

I think I'll stick with Wikipedia.

I hope everyone here knows they only own the Colecovision name. They do not own any IP of the former Coleco company. Even the name was illegally obtained.
That's how I understand it. Everything else is up for grabs.

I think on the ZX81 we put the numbers in data statements, then made a short program to read those and poke them into the REM statement. Doing math for the jumps was fun.

Link, pictures?

Hummmm..... i bet it is due to the color of the LED!!!
Just kidding.
I originally though it was the missing serial number label, but strangely, the one without the serial number is the one that is working.

It is not to the Risky Rick developpers to provide a diagnostic ROM to check if the Coleco hardware properly operate.
It certainly would be nice, though. Many people might not know what's going on inside their ColecoVision... grounding condition, DRAM part numbers, etc.

Personal attacks? You mean like the unsolicited one you just sent me via private message?
Well, it was a low blow, in my opinion.

The Dynamic RAM upgrade is more an issue with reliability than with getting rid of the -5V and +12V requirement. The 4116 DRAM chips that the ColecoVision uses are widely known to be prone to failure. It might be because of the voltage ordering at start-up (certain voltages need to be present prior to others). The 4164 DRAM is nearly a drop-in replacement as far as pin-out goes, and it's more reliable than the 4116 chips. As a by-product, it also only requires +5V to operate (so no ordering of start-up voltages is required). If a ColecoVision has bad DRAM, then really the proper repair is to put in 4164 chips. Before this week, there was no reason to use inferior chips and voltage system to repair the ColecoVision DRAM.

Is the game available in loose or ROM format? I'd love to test the game on some of my standard and modified and new systems (but I don't normally collect homebrews).
-
I'm looking for some help from the PAL and SECAM people... is there only one crystal in the console, or two? What are the crystal speeds?
-
Is there a demo ROM file available for testing? This could be very helpful.
Edit: a demo that would show the issue.

is this the only mod (other than composite video mods) tapping a video signal directly from the original hardware vs other mods that introduce a new video encoder chip?
I think Yurkie's RGB mod is another.

Is Opcode EVER going to release Donkey Kong Arcade!
You don't have it yet? It won a 2011 "Player's Choice Award".

Sorry for the lack of update. Been busy. As it turns out, to fix/tune the contrast, I need to send the supplier a Microvision. I'm preparing to send that out this week. There will be a delay here, but the project is still on.

Groovy, I'd like to pre-order Rocketeer. The boxed version, of course.

Ive never heard of Deep Space. Sounds cool. Any idea who is making it and/or releasing?
I'm waiting for the 8th sequel for this game.

I went to an art gallery. One or more of the pictures offended me. Did it offend you, too? Sorry, I can't tell you which picture(s), but at least one of them has some strange history about it. I'm not going to tell you the history of it, but trust me, there's something strange.

LIST 1: GAMES OUT SO FAR (and nominated for goty):
[... cut... ]
5 ) Deep Zone - Q4 2018
I think we have different definitions of "games out so far"... .
-
As an FYI, the supplier is still looking into the contrast range issue. There was some delay because I had to do some investigating and voltage measuring. Hopefully that will be resolved soon. When resolved, I'll set a future date (1-2 weeks) for any final pre-orders before ordering the production run. At the same time, I'll publish a closer estimate on the final prices. That will give everyone 1-2 weeks to update their request, in case the lower price changes things.

5) Meteors (IntellivisionRevolution)
Not yet, I don't think, but likely to be number 3 or 4 out of the gate.
-
So, basically, so far for 2018, we have
1) Beat Em & Eat Em (IntellivisionRevolution),
unless
2) Astro Invaders (Collectorvision)
has started shipping.

This is all low voltage you're dealing with, right? Do what many companies do... use an approved AC/DC adapter, with no high voltage within your device.
