I'm with you 100%, all the way. The content and style is excellent, by the way. Eventually, I would like to be able to write a menu program for a multi-cart. I've got code from Paul Slocum, but it's useless without knowing the code intimately. I'll be much better off starting from scratch, I think.
Thanks,

Andrew,
Thanks for what you've written so far. I'm looking forward to more.

Cybergoth,
I'm curious how many of each have been sold?
Thanks,

Too pricey for me, but if I had one, I'd probably just use the MMC. Buy an MMC reader/writer for the computer ($30?) and go crazy.

Everything from J to Z.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I found a GA035 chip that Kevin describes on a Tomcat cartridge (look for a 20 pin dip which is visible without opening the cartride). I also found a Superchip in a Dig Dug cartridge, I think. Note that a lot of cartridges have the bankswitching and Superchip in the same package as the ROM.

It's a vertical interconnect. Hopefully you can stuff it back in place, and apply some pressure to it so it'll connect better. That's the only thing I can think of, except good luck.

Doh! Still doesn't work. I guess I'll have to try it at home.

Ben's site crashes my Netscape, Explorer and Mozilla.
Can someone post a pic.

The Atari draws about 300 mA. This can vary, depending on the cartridge, so 500 mA is a good minimum for current capacity in an adapter. Voltage for the 7805 should be above about 7.5 V. Anything above that voltage just generates more heat. So a 9 V, 500 mA supply should work fine. Keep in mind that the current and voltage ratings on some adapters are way out. Just try them out, making sure the polarity is correct (positive on the tip, I think).

Who was the buyer?
How much did you get for the item?
What was the method of payment?
Don't lead us on like this.

Thanks for the update, John. The bankswitching project is coming soon (just starting with some research), but first I need to finish my portable Atari.

Thanks. That's the one I was looking for. Pretty simple, but it's been a while since I used a flip-flop.
Anyone have any schematics that include RAM, or am I going to have to sacrifice a cartridge for that?
Thanks,

I'm looking for schematics of at least one of the popular bankswitching methods, such as F8 and F6. I saw one a few days ago, but forgot to bookmark it. I must have been

P.S. Bonus points for any methods that include RAM.
