  1. I've got an extra plug on the side of my ColecoVision, and use a 2600 compatible stick... assuming I only the joystick and one fire button. I really don't like the CV controller - for me it's unresponsive, and angled improperly (or I'm just used to the 2600 style sticks). 5-11under
  2. Version 02 added. See the link in the first post. Thanks, 5-11under
  3. I've added version 02 into the first post. Gameplay hasn't changed too much yet, and there are still some bugs. There's just some level changes that occur, which change the size, quantity and speed of the squares. Thanks, 5-11under
  4. Thanks for the reply. I don't know if 1K is do-able or desirable, but 4K might work, although it's not a priority. 5-11under
  5. In the rarely-used(?) CV programming forum... http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88280 Thanks, 5-11under
  6. Here's a ROM file, "squares01.rom", which works on Virtual Coleco and ColecoVision, and should work in MESS. It's a bunch of squares bouncing around a playfield. The blue square is controlled by joystick #1. The gameplay so far is to avoid the other squares. Any other gameplay ideas are appreciated. There's still bugs in the bouncing if the blue square is moving, and the "score" just keeps rolling. Thanks, 5-11under May 29, 2006: added version 02. squares01.zip squares02.zip
  7. thanks guys! 5-11under
  8. Hello, Someone I know wants to put a 7800 in his car's glove box. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit. I'm wondering if someone has a picture of the 7800 PCB, so I can see if there's any way to cut it down a wee bit. Thanks, 5-11under
  9. Hello there, I'm looking for six 2764 EPROMs with the modified ColecoVision BIOS (allowing the user to bypass the 12 second delay). I'm looking to have these purchased/sent within a day or two. If you can do this for me, feel free to send me an offer (offers also taken on quantities other than 6, if that helps). Link to BIOS on this page: http://users.erols.com/tiltonj/games/tech/cveprom.html Payment method will be PayPal. Shipping will be to Vineland, Ontario, Canada (Postal Code L0R 2C0). Please include the total cost of your offer. Thanks, Harvey 5-11under edit: found
  10. I got mine last night. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it looks great. One thing I appreciated, is that I didn't have to pay any extra Canada Post charges, or duty. 5-11under
  11. Crazy thing is Doc Kaos is a good friend of mine. Good to see he's getting his 15 minutes. 5-11under
  12. I don't own the game, but I've got the soundtrack. 5-11under
  13. Make a game about a movie, but with little or no relation to the movie plot, program the game quickly, design the game so that everyone will either love it or hate it, produce more copies of the game than the number of consoles that exist, then mysteriously dispose of the unsold games, and people will be talking about it more than any other game, for many years to come. 5-11under
  14. It wasn't well thought out, and doesn't look very professional. Interesting, but nothing to show off. 5-1under
  15. Thanks for all the offers of help guys. Really, much appreciated. I wish I had more carts to go around. Steve I'm looking forward to the day when there are more carts to go around. 5-11under
  16. Other: Atari Jaguar (Super Burnout, mostly) 5-11under
  17. Someone else checked in at 0-50! I'm not alone. Anyway, I've got... Jaguar: 4 Lynx: 5 GB: 3 CV: ~7 2600: ~25 ...A lot less than I used to have, 5-11under
  18. Okay, I guess Pole Position is out. Actually, I like this better: 1. LodeRunner (A800) 2. Skiing (2600) 3. Klax (Lynx) Apologies if any of these were ever on arcade machines. 5-11under
  19. I think the 5200/A800/C64 era is the era a lot of people actually remember, or want to remember. To them, the 2600 probably sucked (Pac-Man & Asteroids graphics, for instance), whereby the 5200/A800/C64 had arcade classics that looked "reasonably" close to the arcade versions. The Atari/Commodore era was hugely popular, and is prime territory for products, I think. 5-11under
  20. 1. Skiing (2600) 2. Klax (Lynx) 3. Pole Position (A800) 5-11under
  21. Star Castle has already been done. http://www.digitpress.com/reviews/starfortress.htm 947699[/snapback] Star Fortress needs some work. 5-11under
  22. Phoenix Star Castle (I don't like the homebrew that's out there now) QIX 5-11under
