Is there a connection missed/messed? Keying in on the third bar initially, which should be bright green, but is black... . Try to get that color bar working first, and see what you have.
/not an Intellivision wizard... .

Another vaporware update:
The board arrived, and I assembled it. The biggest change I made for this version was to get the expansion port working. It now works with the SGM! I also updated the circuitry for the SRAM for the Video Display Processor, and that's working, too. I fixed up the Sega controller inputs a bit, and that works, although it's not compatible with all the games (because when you press a direction button, a number on the keypad is also enabled - so sometimes the game pauses or does other weird stuff - the standard controller seems fine).
There's a number of other things that still need to be tested... I forgot to order a chip, so for the YPbPr/component output, I've only tested the Y. I also still need to test the roller controller, steering controller, super action controller, the Atari module (I think it might need -5V and/or +12V which I haven't tried yet), and F18A. I also need to install it into a ColecoVision shell, to see how that all works (especially the power and reset buttons).
Then I'll have a new ColecoVison for ME
... at some point I'll need to know what YOU need/want in such a board...- YPbPr/component or F18A?
- Atari module compatibility or not?
- Roller controller power (would require soldering the 4-pin standard power connector to the board - as an output, not an input) or not? (BTW, board uses 5V barrel connector as power input).
- Coleco controller (2 standard inputs) or Coleco+Sega controller (2 standard inputs plus 2 Sega inputs)?
- Plug-n-play power and reset switches (similar to standard) or custom power and reset switches (someone would have to solder and fit these like a few people have done)?
- Standard ColecoVision case or something smaller and likely generic?
- Surface mount or mostly-soldered-in through-hole parts or fully-IC-socketed through-hole components? (input 74'541 ICs will be socketed through-hole in any case).
Most of these choices would be options, but some I may just get rid of, if nobody wants them. Assume for now that most options would cost a bit of money, but not too much.

Proper voting, not polling, no results visible until voting is closed, like this:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PMMJJ8K
Responses are not visible until end of Poll
IP Addresses are tracked
Multiple Responses from same device are Off
This is just a test, but once everyone agrees on the Release list that qualifies we can set up a proper one.
Is there a way to limit the entries?... otherwise potentially I could vote at home, at work, at Starbucks, etc. (I think, anyway).

I believe those were the carts with the split connector for the last connector. I had that issue also. I don't think these carts have the split pin, and they work fine in the machine that had the issue with the split pin. The fix for this was soldering 4 pads together, image on the left.
Any new Megacart games from Team Pixelboy or Collectorvision have the 6 (new version of board - like the picture on the right) sets of pads shorted, so there shouldn't be any issues.

No need to install any audio boards Larry. The SGM Pro sound will come from your RF output was usual. And if you have a modded CV with A/V outputs, sound will come out from the dedicated audio output. The only requirement is that your CV shouldn't have been modded to remove the 12V power supply.
How/where/why is the 12V required?

Do the AtariSoft games work?

Minor vaporware update: the prototype board is in production, and should arrive in a couple of weeks. Hopefully I'll get some time to work on it when it arrives.

To compare, here is a picture that includes red cases:
Philipp
The colors in this picture look much much better than the ones in the first post.

I actually really like the (wrongly named) Pinball game... better than Blockbuster.

They may suck in comparison, but new computers are still pretty awesome!

I haven't done the mod, but here's my thoughts:
The vertical black line is the 4 signals, shown as a bus, LGBR - similar as shown in the RAM above it.
Does IC653 pin 11 connect to IC652 pin 9 and pin 13? - YesDoes IC653 pin 8 connect to IC652 pin 3 - YesWhat does "&" mean inside of IC653? - AND gate? If not, doesn't matter? What does "1" mean inside IC652? - Buffer? If not, doesn't matter?I assume IC656 is not needed as its not in the red area, does that sound right? - I think you'll need that if it's not already there.I think these two are related to SCART pin 8/select and pin 16/blanking. Do you agree? - Probably agree = don't need.

2015 = 70$
2016 = 89$

It's cheaper than you'll find it a year from now.

Look into the Winbond W27C020. Same pinout as a standard 27C020, and electrically eraseable.

Don't feel bad. I've been trying to finish Super Space Acer since 1989.

Time for the lion to wake up.

Had my first glitch with SPB. I was playing on the Ultimate Flashback and all at once the screen went solid field color green, Simple return to front-end and restart and I was good to go. Also what size triangle screwdriver does one need to remove those triangle head screws on the Mattel carts?
The exact same thing happen to me ..
Just to confirm... this happened when playing the ROM file?
If it's with the game board, try re-seating the game a couple of times, to see if that helps.

thanks, no more F18A are available. But thanks!
At the moment. I'm sure they'll be available again. I think he tends to build a handful at a time, as needed.

Is there any information about this?
-
That's very cool!
If anyone was like me and got thrown by the name, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the very special power supply used in the questionable prototype Coleco Chameleon as demonstrated by JOHN Carlsen.
Bulk Power FTW.
/I knew it was different, but it's still all I thought about.

Another vapourware update:
Layout of the next prototype is basically complete. Hopefully I'll have the PCB in hand within a few weeks.
Future versions may not have all these options (may be user configurable/orderable), but features include:
- F18A compatibity
- YPbPr/component output (new version, simple, but hopefully better than previous version)
- Works with Sega controllers (extra ports on right side of console for now)
- Can plug in keypad - installed on top of console (same kind as in Collectorvision's arcade controller) - yes, I know this is weird, but I like it (especially if using Sega controllers)
- Uses 5V barrel power input
- Expansion port hopefully fixed up and operational (project was conceived before the SGM
) - Option for creating -5V and +12V for expansion port usage (I think the Atari module uses both
- Power for roller controller
- Hopefully the standard power and reset plastic button tops will work with the new switches

Intellivision RGB mod trouble
in Intellivision / Aquarius
Posted
You could check each of the ladder lines (R1-R3, 9-11, 17-19), one at a time, by temporarily putting a resistor in parallel with the one already there. You would need to check all 16 colors. If nothing changes, there's likely an issue with that section.
