  1. Good job Rev... you made an honest apology and turned back from your pranky ways in your first post there, and still got banned! Also, regarding Jr Pac-Man, this would have been quickly debunked or at least had more doubt noted, if there were less people who already knew about the project (from beta testing, etc.).
  2. ... time to come up with a plan to be able to attend PRGE next year... .
  3. Yep, the files will be concatenated in the order listed. In my example, file1.rom would be at $0000.
  4. Upper 5 address bits: sounds right to me. 32 ROM files: might be able to load separately in EPROM software (save when done). otherwise, if all files are exactly 4096 bytes, use copy /b, such as... copy /b file1.rom+file2.rom both.rom .
  5. That's scary. Are the 600XL and 800XL cartridges different than others?
  6. This looks like $40 for Stampede, with a pile of other stuff/junk thrown in. Offer $20.
  7. Details on all the Intellivision and ColecoVision game made by Nice Ideas, and their completion status.
  8. Where were you 2 years ago. It's not that I didn't bother... somehow I messed it up... I did some testing today... I have one board remaining from this first batch of Blix PCBs - it was one that someone returned to me that didn't work - I replaced it - the board doesn't work in an Intellivision anymore, but I was able to read the data. I read the data from it, and for some reason, I failed to move the data to the $Dxxx and $Fxxx areas (all the data is at $5xxx, $6xxx, $7xxx, $8xxx instead of at $5xxx, $6xxx, $Dxxx, $Fxxx, and $Dxxx and $Fxxx is filled with $FFFFs). If anyone wants me to fix their Blix cart so it works as intended, let me know.
  9. Any pictures for the lazy and/or incapable?
  10. I don't pay much attention to press releases and hype anymore. I'll consider the console when I see it on the shelves, and when proper playability and technical reviews are in.
  11. Take the $10. That's about what it's worth to someone who wants it.
  12. I've got assembled boards for 4K, 8K, 16K, 32K (4 different configurations). Easily flash re-programmable with most EPROM programmers (or I can program them, if given ROM file).

  14. I think the fix is working... I'll send a few boards to Rev for testing purposes.
  15. Well, there better be a switch on the Zimba 3000 to enable/disable accounting for gravity of the electron beam. There'll also need to be a control based on the depth of the tube, and the overall viewing distance. It's annoying when the game visuals seem to be "falling" in front of my eyes, and all the colors seem to be shifted toward red.
  16. No worries. I knew this book was more about history and the whole company, and less about just the ColecoVision and therefore even less about homebrews... I just didn't know how much less. Thanks!
  17. Vain question... Do CV homebrews get mentioned? Do they get good coverage? More directly... I'll buy the book if I'm mentioned, and/or if Squares! or JetPack! get some coverage.
  18. ... or the Winbond 27C series... electrically eraseable, and with same pinout as standard 27C devices. /whatever you use, verify the pinout.
  19. Better maybe, but for me that would be a much much larger project. Also, Mess can emulate the Adventure Vision (I haven't tried it, though). If I were to build one, I'd make it mechanical, most likely (in retirement, many years from now).
  20. No worries. A couple of motivations... If I had an Adventure Vision (and I wish I did), I'd want to play or at least try all of the games (without spending extra cash). I'm sure there are people who have the console, but not all the cartridges. Every console needs a multicart. This is just a small project that I'd like to do sometime. It would likely just be about 4 evenings of light work to figure out what the cartridge would look like (it's a bit odd and very different than most consoles), probably breadboard a prototype to make sure it works well (physically and electronically), design a board for it that works well with the system, and a couple of weeks later assemble the boards and test the results.
