So found this at the goodwill recently. It's a Sears Video Arcade 2600 system with the original box and packaging, rf switch thingy, power adapter, plus a rf to cox adapter. System also comes with the following games: Qbert, Combat, Asteroids.
System looks to have all the original gear for it with the exception of the manual and the game advertised on the outside of the sears box.
It functions great, just had it rolling and playing all three games as of this morning of posting it so no problems that I can find the system looks to be used but in very well taken care of shape.
I'm not putting up a price as of yet as I have no idea what these go for but things I am looking for trade wise are:
1 motion plus wii controller (red or black color)
Paintball equipment
4 gb ddr 3 10666 Desktop Ram (2 x2gb prefered)
Cannon point and shoot cameras
So yea.. ill try and update a price once I look around a bit more but in the mean time shoot me some offers if your interested.
And the pictures

I know I haven't been on these forums long so I have no feedback but I have been on pbnation and ebay quite a while so here is links to that feedback

I finally found my camera so here is a picture of the system with everything out. It also has a lot of the original cardboard inserts and even bubble wrap inside the box.

If you end up wanting to sell, you will find a buyer in the Marketplace.
Save the box.
Yea im going to go ahead and do that. Had a lot of fun playing with it last night but the new legend of zelda game is coming up and thats all I plan to be doing for a good while.

So just a few things... I thnk the rf box thingy is not working.. the rca to coax worked great.
Me being an idiot too me a while to figure out that the system was set on channel 2 and not channel 3. Also the whole level select / reset took a while to get going.
So far I played q-bert, combat, and asteroids.
Thanks for all the help!

I seriously cant even tell if this thing powers on.. I would expect a beep or something.. so far im thinking it might be dead.
It doesn't make any sounds and it can't be dead. Atari 2600's are immortal.
Haha thanks for that info. I think maybe the atari swtich box is no good. Just bought myself one of those adapters (rca to coax) that I saw in the video provided earlier and im going to try that out in a while.

So far on luck on the atari. I have no idea how to tell when its on. Does it make any audible beep or have any lights?
tried hooking up the little metal box to some coax cable.. see pictures im about to add.
Also what channel should the video outoput to? tried channel 1-4

Yea im 26. My first game system was the Super NES which had the little box with just a Coax to attach to the tv. Never used something like this little rf box unit. It has a swtich for tv/tv/computer so I am a little confused as to what went where. It looked like the atari pluged into the coputer slot and then there was a tv coax spot and a spot with the two little prongs. Could I just get some coax cable and hook that into the coax spot?

So I just found this lovely box at the local thrift store for 10 dollars. Orignal box, plus packaging has both joysticks and two little dial controllers. I tried reading up a bit on it online and it looks pretty good all over. What im trying to figure out is how I turn it on and check if its working and what the hell the rf box is and how I hook that up.
It actually came with most everything in the box with the exception of a manual and the game it shows advertised on the outside. I currently have no game to test its working ability so I'm going to run to the used game store to pick something up and would love some suggestions.
I've never even played atari before but this system was just sitting there in its orignal box begging me to buy it and play with it. I'm not sure what an old system like this would go for but if anyone knows I'd be happy to post up pictures as I might think about selling it on ebay after playing with it for a bit.
Thanks.
