Hey MST - Have you tried using Jookie's driver with that device? He has a demo version we can try : It MAY yield faster transfer rate : http://joo.kie.sk/?page_id=266
Also - I have done some vids with this device on my YT channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAVWgxXEerFi51JI8SWDP5w
I'm currently Waiting for my UART to USB. I'll do some further tests and vids with it ( and try Jookie's driver ) when it I update the firmware.

Ok guys. I got two of these coming. I sent $97.65 USD for two of them ( incuding a paypal fee of $4.65 ).
He has already updated the firmware twice and sent out instructions on how to implement it.

This Atari 600xl has been upgraded to 64k. Video has not been upgraded. It is in EXCELLENT condition, as is the box. I have put it on the Official Atari 8 bit testing station and all the voltages are great (pic) and it passed all tests. The mylar Keyboard works 100%. The box has the original RF box and cable. I usually scrub and clean these, but this one needed no cleaning whatsoever. If you ever wanted a solid 600xl, this is it!
I'm asking $120.00 + shipping from Portland, Oregon. PM me and I'll get a shipping quote from UPS. I take Paypal.

If the chips are socketed , try reseating them. Leave the lid off and let it run for a minute. Touch the main chips to see if they are hot or not. A really hot chip indicates a possible bad chip. Old school, but it works.

Had there been any progress on this Peter? FYI I’m currently putting Orion’s STe jagpad sd card reader through it’s paces.. what it can and cannot do.
-
You can tap it free.. I used a flathead screwdriver, small hammer and a little wd40. I think there was a screw on the side I put the screwdriver on and gently tapped it free. It’s worked ever since WITH a happy upgrade 😀

So I'm having trouble setting up Orion's STe Jagport A SD card reader.
2 GB SD card is formatted in FAT.
I run the program off the floppy, and I get this : ( pic )
It will not see the file I put on there after I run the program. I only put one - Sea of Color Demo - on the SD card.
I know I'm missing something.. I HAVE setup a Ultrasatan in the past.. but I'm having no luck.
Any help is appreciated, or if you have an SD card image I could use..

I met John and saw the computer you are talking about on a visit to FTE headquarters back in the 90's. It was completely new from the ground up with a custom motherboard and case. I believe it was made for cable TV information displays by the company that John was working with at the time. He had a multitude of custom fonts built into a custom 816 OS, and I believe some of those were comprised of multiple character maps to render a surprisingly detailed larger character. It was very nice.
Bruce has one of those cable TV machines in his warehouse.. right hand side, half way down towards the back, on the end of isle.

It's either the GTIA, ANTIC, or PIA in that order. You can either buy a new CPU card, or just the chips. I'd buy a new CPU card, then take out the old chips out of the old CPU card and test them individually, then toss the bad one. Extra chips for the future!

All jokes aside, He will replace it as he is an excellent Dude.
Stuff happens and he is really busy these days.

This is my last 64k 600xl. It has 64k Ram internal, a monitor port and a NEW keyboard Mylar from Best Electronics. I installed all the circuitry for the monitor port and when I did, I wired in a color boost. The computer comes with The Brewing Academy's power supply and a NEW composite A/V cable. $175.00 + shipping. Ships from Portland, Or.
PM Me if interested, or use the contact form at Eightbitfix.com.

When I first ran across that demo on YouTube , I was amazed!

Thank You! I have been waiting for this one. If you need a game tester..

Hi guys,
This is a weird 800 I have dubbed " programmer " because the guy I got it from said the original owner was one, here in Portland OR. The sysinfo program says it has an axlon ram board, but I think it's custom, as you will see from the pics. Joe Decuir, Ben Heckendorn and Kevin Savetz have all had a look at this and some helped track down the OS version. The '7' button sticks. Normal programs cannot access the extra ram, but I think you can tweak the OS to see it ( it's on eeproms ). It has a reset button installed on the bottom left side. It passes all tests on my official Atari 8 bit testing station. Unit has been taken apart and completely cleaned. I'm asking $175 plus shipping. PM me for more info.
