This drive was repaired and passed all stock tests, then I added a Happy 1050 board to it. Comes with modern power supply, repair paperwork and Happy diagnostic disk. NO SIO CABLE. Plastic has been cleaned and treated. Asking $100 plus shipping.

I have a Happy 1050 for sale. It comes with the happy disk and a new power supply from 8 bit classics. $125.00 + shipping. My disk drive repair guy tuned it up and tested it ( have the receipt ). After that, I cleaned it again and put the happy in. She passed all diagnostics. I also cleaned and treated the plastic. NEW 1050 badge from Best Electronics. The monitor port mod from Best is awesome but the instructions stink. I’ve done many, and if you do it, I have helpful tips. I also put 64k internal in them. Very easy.

No, but I’ve successfully removed a badge from a 1050 to cut a piece off for the left corner of a 1200xl.. then paid $18.00 for a replacement 1050 badge from best. 😀 take your time.

They didn’t . The “ reset “ and start buttons do not work in their current state. It also has bad Antic and Gtia .

After I cleaned everything, I found out the red reset button is a painted over option button. Now I’m on the hunt for a stock reset button 😀

I just got this 800. The color was off so I took it apart and there was no adjustment hole in the aluminum shield ( which looks rough and has no stickers ). The top has been jerry rigged, but actually works well. I was thinking this was some sort of demo model.. Check out the serial #'s to see if there is anything odd.. Paul

Replace the CPU card which is hidden inside the case. Best Electronics and B & C Computervisions ( myatari on eBay ) have them. Look for a 48k ram board , The Brewing Academy might be selling them. Little known fact : A 400 upgraded to 48k will run the UNO cart, a 48k 800 will not. Eightbitfix.com
