Besides OEM power supplies, I have found that the modern 400/800 power supplies from 8 bit classics are excellent.

The SD card should be a small one and make sure its formatted. You just drag and drop the files to the SD card ( no folder needed ).
It CAN do some .ATR's( disk images ) but stick to .XEX files. You can get them at Atarionline.pl.

The Uno Cart will not work on a 16k machine, which the stock 600XL is. It WILL work on a 48k 400, but NOT a 800.

Hercules workshop up in Canada had good quality cables. His cables split the audio out to two speakers.

Every Hong Kong labeled 800xl I have opened was fully socketed. Every Hong Kong labeled 600xl I have opened was socketed.

If its made in Hong Kong the chips are socketed, which means easy repairs. If it’s made in Taiwan, the chips are probably partially or fully soldered to the motherboard, which is more work to repair.

Keep in mind some later games and homebrews require 64k or more, so if they don't work...

Swap the NTSC GTIA for a PAL one.
Some demos require swapping both to run.

This is relevant because I found out that the Uno cart works on 48k 400's, and NOT the 800.
I have two restored 48k 400's for sale, with dust cover should you need one.

Well in restoring a few ST's that had them missing, I eneded up using motorcycle fuel line. Yep. It works great and kinda cushions the floppy drive. I did have ONE plastic spacer left to get the length off before I cut the fuel line. On one unit I put a plasic guide inside the fuel line to guide the screw when I put it it. ( it was an extra spacer from a Ultimate 1mb upgrade for the XL XE line. )

Here is a nice Atari ST-fm for sale. Works fine and has a new floppy drive. It has good Siemens ram and a solid power supply. I was thinking $150 plus shipping from Portland, Oregon. PM me if interested.
